I am at a Stand still....

I have played this game everyday from launch but over the past three weeks I seem to be at a stand still. I haven't had any new work projects pop up and red hasn't visited my town in those three weeks. Is there something I can do to fix this and/or is anyone else dealing with this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated.

make sure you always talk to your villagers! i dont know if this works but I heard that if you empty your pockets, go swimming for 10 mins and walk around till someone talks to you if it doesn't work the first time keep trying.

I think filling your pockets with seashells would work better- the animals won't be able to give you gifts so that's one less thing you have to worry about them pinging you for. (As I'm almost positive they won't buy shells)

I can't make any new projects because I don't have any good ones except for the Illuminated Tree but I can't build that until I get perfect town rating because it's bad for the environment. I need the fairytale bridge and for Freya to move because I can't build the bridge where I want too because of her house. Which makes no sense because there was a bridge there before when I started the town but I wanted to move the bridge 2 spaces down and I can't because of Freya's house.

the Illluminated Tree is bad for the environment? I've had both the Illuminated Tree and the Illuminated Heart built for a couple of weeks now and I've been at Perfect Town status for at least a week.

When I went a few days without anything suggested, my friend Reo in Japan suggested that I send letters to everyone. That worked a treat. The very next day, everyone was talking about the letters and I got a suggestion of the Lighthouse.

I just leave my character at the event plaza where most of my villagers pass by. I have the volume up so if i hear a ping sound I check to see what they want. I've gotten a lot of projects recommended to me just cuz I leave it on lmao. I don't empty my pockets though, but then again I only carry my tools.

1 per day, I've heard. I've never gotten more than 1 a day myself.

Anyway, to the original poster, something else you can do is go on the Re-Tail and Train Station forums here and find people to play or trade items with. Trust me, once you start doing that, it'll eat so much of your time that you'll find it hard to complete the regular solo tasks in your town (like talking to your villagers). I have much personal experience in this. O_O
