No one had pinged me to move yesterday when I was playing in Noveon, so I figured all was well. Still, yesterday was my monthly paranoia-induced "I think I should back up all four of my towns just in case" days, so once I was done checking all my towns, I created a restore point with powersave for all of them.
When I booted up Noveon today, Isabelle tells me, "One of our residents, Tangy, is leaving tomorrow."
Initially I started to freak out, before remembering I'd just backed up the cartridge yesterday. So I restored Noveon's cartridge to my previous save from the day before, set the DS clock back one day, and stopped Tangy from moving!
It was a close call. If I hadn't backed up when I did yesterday, and had put it off instead, I either would have had to let Tangy go, or lost an entire month's worth of progress to get her back by restoring to my save point from a month ago.
I know there's a lot of controversy on this forum about powersaves and stuff, but...I'm really thankful today that I caved in and bought one for back-up purposes, because otherwise I would have lost a very important dreamie today
