Hybrids that seem not breed on your island

for me, i can't seem to get black roses & purple tulips.

i'm starting to think my orange tulips & red roses aren't working or my orange was from a wrong parent pair? Tulips were always sold on my nooks, and I've had orange since the first week so idk what i'm doing wrong! For roses, I've only gotten them from a friend but still, I've had new flowers (cosmos & lilies) that doesn't seem to have a problem breeding hybrids. Yet after weeks, i still don't have 1 black rose.

I wasn't getting any purple hyacinths from my orange once, until the breed into new orange ones, I move those to another area and they started giving me purple once. I have never been able to breed blue roses, so I bought two and the breed with each other.

i haven't had green mums either, but i never really tried hard. i'll try to get these first lol.

yes they are from seed bags! but i've had red hybrids from red+white as well now.

I got my green mums from purple mums, I got from a mystery island and from mine, since they are my native flower, can't be sure which ones they were, but only two gave me green mums.

Hmm, have you tried buying a rose bag and using those to breed? As far as I'm aware, you should be able to get black roses from any red rose; I think there's a 25% chance of getting them.

Honestly, it might be a glitch, or maybe Nintendo butchered something while they edited the spawn rate of bugs & fish. You're watering them, right?

I've been struggling with black roses as well. I'm hoping to get some soon, as I want to breed for golden roses.

Hmm, have you tried buying a rose bag and using those to breed? As far as I'm aware, you should be able to get black roses from any red rose; I think there's a 25% chance of getting them.

they've always been from seed bags because i've never had them before. i read online about the 25% chance, but how about white+red is the chances of that combo producing pink much higher? because my hybrid area is like X=cross of roses, with reds in the middle and on the side i have whites, so i still have chances to get pinks. i might remove the whites for now and put it separately as i have enough pink roses.

exactly! this is such a process because the reason i wanted them in the first place was to breed golden roses. i can't believe i got the golden watering can recipe and still no black rose.

Purple windflowers. I don't really know what the "true" or best combo is. I've seen two hybrid pinks, two hybrid reds, two blues and I'm trying it all.

interesting. thanks, i'll look into it. there's no way i should be having difficulty getting them, they're pretty easy for most people. i have no trouble getting orange & purple.

Purple Tulips and Pink Hyacinths. I managed to breed 1 purple tulip but I got so desperate and impatient that I had to buy 1 more from someone on here and I'm still having trouble making them multiply. And with pink hyacinths, they just don't seem to wanna multiply. The other hyacinths will breed like crazy but I still have so little pink ones.

YES i even asked my sister to visit, just to water the red roses! still none. even when it's raining every week and i still water them, then i get plenty of hybrids the next day and NEVER a black rose. it's so weird.
