Hybrids question

So, I want to try to get hybrids from scratch. I've a LOT of flowers around my island, should I remove them or it doesn't matter? Like, only X new flowers will be born every day or it's unlimited? Thank you!

I don't know if the number of flowers you have on your island affects the number of new flowers you can get, but...

I used my own island's flowers (pansies) to get a start on hybrids and it worked out great.

I keep my main gardens on the sea-level main part of my island and I pretty much let my native flowers on my 2nd and 3rd hills / mountains just do their thing.

I do, however, do some weeding when the flowers start looking overgrown.
