I literally want to grow more black and purple
But want to know if having them like this are a good idea

0 p j p 0
j 0 f 0 j
0 b j 0 b

0-none
J-Jacob ladder
B- black roses
P- purple roses

Can I make more with that pattern or I have to do it 1 by one

I don't think you will be able to breed the flowers without them touching? I might be wrong though, since I just learned about the Jacob's Ladder helping with breeding flowers and they do touch with the Jacob's Ladder.

I'm also not sure you'd be able to breed flowers without them touching :o I've always lined mine up side by side (posted about this like twice already, but whatever xD) and made a border around the edges of town so that they can't be destroyed by someone moving in. The rest, I put around villagers houses and pwps where they also won't be destroyed. This has worked pretty well for me, so you might try it.

All My Beaches are taken to make one of the has for yellow and white the other has blue and red
One of my corners has all the pink and some purple
And in another I have a black rose farm that will turn golden one day

The flowers you're breeding must touch, whether side-by side or diagonally. It's also important that there's as much space as possible around each flower so they have maximum space to spawn a new hybrid. My breeding plots are set up like this:
HxH
HJH
xxx

(So that it's not too confusing, I breed two different hybrids on one Jacob's Ladder, so in my plots the left Hs would be blue roses and the right would be pink, as an example.)

With H being a hybrid, J being a Jacob's Ladder, and x being an empty space. You can also use:
xHx
HJH
xHx

Or:

HHxHH
xxJxx
HHxHH

These setups have always worked for me.

I have never heard about the Jacob's ladder thing. Does that actually help/work, or no?

I'd never heard about it either, but according to a wiki page I read it does. I have never even owned a Jacob's Ladder though, so I haven't tested it out though.

When used in conjunction with a gold watering can and beautiful town ordinance, it increases the odds of spawning hybrids but doesn't guarantee it.

I've never known you can use jacob's ladders for breeding; this is gonna really help me out if they do work for me though! My carnations are not wanting to breed at all.

I do remember that back in Wild World, lucky clovers had a similar breeding function... but it worked differently. If you'd plant a clover in front of a sapling or a flower, it'd apparently help keep it alive slightly longer or increase its chances of living (without watering), so I wouldn't be surprised if they added a function to the jacob's ladders in this game too.

Of course, doesn't fertilizer work the same way? Or do jacob's ladders work better than fertilizer as far as helping spawn hybrids?
