Whats the best amount of flowers for a formation? some people say they just put two flowers next to each other... is a large checkerboard type pattern okay? or is less more? I have like 10-20 alternating red/yellow roses to try to get orange ones.

If you mean by how much, it doesn't matter too much but, bigger the better in making hybrids.
