Hybrid help

I have got the hang of making hybrids by Time Travelling (Great Scott!) But the way I do it is long and has a 40:60. Chance of spawning a hybrid, and if it does, it is only one flower.... I am looking for a more efficient and quicker way to get TONS of hybrids

P.S I can't get fertilizer

I seem to get a few hybrids each day in one of my towns, just not the colors I want (pink, black and orange is what I get but I'd prefer blue and purple). I do group the hybrids of same color/ type together and water them lots, even if it's raining. I tried fertilizer a couple of times but didn't see that it helped any. I often wonder how folks get whole towns with just hybrids of blue or purple because for me those colors only pop up occasionally.

My other town does not get many hybrids at all, but when it does it's still pink, orange and black. I use the beautiful town ordinance for it and I wonder if that's why it gets less hybrids?

Defiantly get the Beautiful Town ordinance, it gives off these perks (animal crossing wikia) :
Villagers are more likely to water or plant flowers
Time traveling does not affect the town's environment
Cockroaches will not appear at all
Weeds will appear less often
Hybrids are 20% more likely to spawn
Trash will no longer be fished out of the water
Flowers do not die.

Also, I find I get flowers by aligning them like so:

I got my great number of hybrids by buying them. I did make a few myself, and my giant red rose field would spawn maybe 2-3 hybrids a day. Watering will certainly help the process, as will covering part of town in a checkerboard pattern with the colors needed to spawn the hybrid. I think the limit is like 5 per day, so I wouldn't get too carried away.

Well I grew about 5 pink lilies at the same time a few days ago. (Plus a few other flowers but I forget what exactly) what I do is I have all of my hybrids growing on the beach so no villagers will water them or plant random flowers beside them. I don't really do much about the placement besides keeping the same species together.

Basically I have all the possible hybrid breeds growing on my beach. Each day I'll only water the ones I want to breed and before I started placing the hybrids around my town I made sure there weren't any normal flowers on the land. Because if there is villagers are likely to place a flower next to them and water those making them breed instead of the ones you want.

It's basically luck I guess. I don't TT often in fear of losing a dreamie so it's a nice surprise to see a bunch of hybrids appear the following day. Oh and yeah I have the beautiful town ordinance.

I find certain breeds grow a lot faster in my town for example one of my friends was visiting to sell her turnips and gave me a few hybrids as a tip. They were pink tulips which I only had three of so I said I joked about how I finally managed to get more of them or something. Then she mentioned how she has like 20 lying around her beach and can never grow blue roses where as I had about 22 blue roses at the time and decided I'd give her a few to assist in her breeding. We traded hybrids quite a few times so we could get more of the ones that never seem to breed.
