As I have only one friend and not planning add anyone else, do I have a chance to have all possible flowers, or maybe it's impossible.
If it's possible, I'm assuming it will need more time than for people having many friends / visitors.
I'm not asking about the details how to clone / make hybrids, as I know where this tread is, but I don't want to read it intentionally, because I would like to try by myself, without spoilers and reading / watching how to do this.
This is the reason, I'm asking specifically, if amount of friends is limiting me badly or not.
Thanks in advance.

Short answer is no, it’s not limiting you badly.
you can grow all the flowers without having any in game friends. The only effect I know of is that having visitors water your flowers increases the chance of them reproducing (significantly, eso if you have 5 or more people water them in one day). So yes, never having anyone else water your flowers could slow things down somewhat, but not to the point of making it impossible or even unlikely for you to grow all the hybrids (i have not had my flowers watered by friends more than a few times, one person at a time, and I have most of the flower types now.) it’ll just take more time.

I don’t know how you feel about having visitors in general, but you also can have any visitor water your flowers, they don’t have to be on your friend list. You can find people on the airport thread who will water your flowers either as an exchange, for a fee of some kind, or even for free.

I was in the same boat as you were during the summer when I was trying to breed all hybrids. Having visitors definitely speeds up the process significantly, and you only need 5 visitors per day to get to the maximum percentage (about 80-90%) of breeding/cloning.

If you were to breed them yourself with no visitors or just one visitor, I would advise dedicating a big plot of land for breeding since only a few of the flowers could have the chance to breed. I had the entire left side of my island dedicated to breeding for months.

I know you don't want to read the hybrid guide, but trust me it helps tremendously because genetics can be really complicated. The same colored flowers could be different subtypes, but there's no way to tell except controlling your samples and understanding what kind of genes they might have. I spent a lot of time reading and learning about the science behind it all, especially when it comes to breeding blue roses.

Good luck with breeding hybrids!

I do fully understand, it may take longer. I can't guarantee I will never use breeding guide, but for now, I would like to try whatever I can, whatever is possible. I got some rare / semi-rare flowers, like black lilies so hopefully something else may be achieved... if nothing will be possible for me and if I still want rare flowers I will think about different approach.
Thank you.

I've done it all myself.
Grown and watered myself.

The only one I haven't done is gold roses, because I'm not a fan. :)

Having just one visitor watering your flowers makes a big difference. The base spawn rate is 5% when watering solo, but 25% when you have one visitor water your flowers, which means you can get about 5 times as many offspring. Having additional visitors water is helpful, but you get diminishing returns with each additional visitor. For example, the base spawn rate is 35% with two visitors, which is not that much of a gain from the 25% you get from one visitor. So basically, watering solo is slow but doable, having one visitor speeds things up a lot, and having five visitors is only necessary if you are really impatient.

it's definitely possible to grow them all yourself, as I've seen many do it no problem c: bringing others over to your island and letting them water your flowers gives you a big boost as well! basically it'll take some patience, lots of watering cans, and space but it's doable ^^

You can do it yourself, it just takes longer. To me the last hybrid I got is the blue rose, purple windflowers are hard on me too, but other than that, I think I got the other hybrids pretty quickly.

It is a patient game and labor consuming. And blue rose is tricky, I have to consult a breeding guide to figure out the right gene and steps.

Good luck! Once you get all of them, the satisfying feeling is priceless!

Technically you should 100% be able to do it yourself. You can get all the purchasable flower types on your own from Nooks + Leif and then breed hybrids from there. It will take time to breed certain flowers (like the infamous blue rose) but it is definetly do-able. Like others have said, having visitors water your flowers increase the chance of hybrids spawning so even if you have only one friend they could still help you.

You can do it by yourself. Having friends or strangers come over to water your flowers make it a ton faster, but none of the hybrids are locked behind having a certain amount of friends or others water it. Godspeed on this journey though! Its long but its definitely rewarding to see that hybrid pop up knowing you and only you made it happen ^^
