My rl name is Kody and I refuse to have that bear! I WILL NOT SHARE MY NAME. ONE OF US WILL HAVE TO PERISH AND IT WILL NOT BE ME. In game, my name is Goose. I don't really want him either, but nobody has to be viciously murdered if he moves onto my island.

I share my first name with one of the villagers in French, but I don't play in French so I wouldn't get them based on that, unfortunately, I don't share my middle name with any of the villagers in any language... and as far as birthdays go, I'm not a huge fan of who it is .-.

My name isn't shared by any villager. . . even the male variation. It's not that uncommon too

I once thought of trying to get villagers who's names match my friends and mine, at least partially. Doesn't work for everyone though :/

My name is Phillip (whoops did I just put that online?) and one of my first book mile island runs gave me Phil, so I felt like it was fate. I don't go by Phil myself, but it's fun (and also a little confusing) having him on the island.

Another thing I thought of was paying homage to my grandparents with versions of their names. Walt, Celia, and Bob all fit nicely for Walter, Cecelia, and Robert, but I don't think there are any villagers that would work for my other grandma, Adelle. Maybe Ellie? Idk.

One of Gayle’s foreign names is Odile, which is the closest to Adelle to what I can think of.

I don't share my name with any villager. I just checked and apparently the one that comes closest is Felicity, who is called Micha in Spanish. I don't care for her much, so I definitely wouldn't go looking for her. Honestly, I don't know if I would like having someone on my island share my name.

i haven’t since no animal has the same name as me or anyone in my family lmao (i’m not surprised about me, though, since xara isn’t exactly a common name ) - the only villager i can really think of is bella since i have a friend named bella but that’s about it
