I don't think that fruit is worth resetting for. Unless it was a themed town, like my temporarily existing town that was ac movie themed. I had to have cherries in that town because that was am important part of movie. So if was important like that, then I'd understand.
1. Apples & Cherries equal as they show up well against the green leaves
2.Oranges & Peaches equal - as both can look good, depending on the colours in town (flowers & paths).
3. Pears - as they don't show up well against the trees.
I have reset specifically for fruit as I play with several towns and I wanted different native fruit.
Hasn't shown up in this thread but I've seen a lot of hate against oranges, particularly the perfect version (which does look a bit odd) - but I have one town with oranges as the native fruit, has a deep blue & gold path and the flowers are only black. purple, orange & red roses - it looks really saturated in colour, what I would call rich and is probably my favourite town in terms of colour.
None of my towns grow island fruits, only the palms on the beach.
A similar look with colours could be done with say the lemon - bright clean yellow colours, yellow & white flowers, right coloured path etc could look really good.

I reset my town Galactic a lot, because I have awful luck with villagers and at least half of the time the native fruit would be pears.
In fact, Galactic right now has pears. Does anyone else have a fruit the get constantly when resetting?

Sadly my native fruit is cherries :c But oh well, they can be replaced! I would honestly kind of prefer to have apples, peaches, or cherries as a town fruit, because I like their perfect forms a lot more than their standard form, while with oranges and pears the perfect form is pretty similar.
