What I mean by this is being able to talk to Isabelle, and have some sort of button that would make a villager want to leave (no, Isabelle wouldn’t murder or threaten them). Would it be easier to get rid of ugly villagers? Or would it take away some of the spirit of Animal Crossing?

I hate when the villagers I love the most ask to leave
I always feel like they hate me lol :(
So this would be interesting.

Orrr, it should be based on the friendship you have with the villagers.
like the villagers you have the highest friendship shouldn't really be asking to leave.
like one day i get a photo, and the next they're asking to leave lmao 😞

some of the fun of animal crossing to me is getting villagers you never thought you would like that you actually end up loving! but honestly with how repetitive the dialogue is in this game its been hard to connect to villagers. at least moreso than in past games. so like, in some of the older games? i wouldnt want that feature. but i wouldnt be mad if they added it in NH. i wouldnt use it, but i think it could benefit a lot of players

This would be a dangerous thing to add for me because I would be spamming the option to kick villager after villager.

I picked 'Eh...' because I'm kinda conflicted about it. Having this option would mean that camping mechanics would have to change and I'm not entirely against that, but I feel like a lot of people have connected with some of the villagers they initially though were ugly and they grew to love because it's not that easy to just get rid of them in the first place.

I'd be cool with it. I'm sure some people would argue that it goes against the artistic vision of the game, but here's the thing: Nintendo already lets you do this, as long as you own an amiibo. so clearly the idea of villagers organically coming and going isn't so sacred to Nintendo, since they're letting you bypass the waiting times as long as you pay them, lol

It already exists. It's called campsite villagers and amiibo cards.

I wouldn't like it if that was a feature.

But isn't that a whole entire process on its own? Doesn't it take 3 days to get an amiibo villager to move in? It sounds like they're giving you an opportunity of backing out of that option. Plus not everyone owns amiibos .-.

the fact that not everyone owns amiibos is my entire point.

make it so amiibos let you get whichever villager you want, but also give you an option to kick villagers out whenever (through some sort of quest idk) without needing to use amiibos. but also keep the thought bubbles for those who prefer to have their villagers come and go organically. best of all worlds.

I would like it but maybe just once or twice a week ?
It would allow us to hunt more often for new villagers on mystery islands or other players islands without really changing the concept or difficulty to find the dreamie you want. (just slightly)
I think the campsite should get visits more often too.

I mean, there kind of is? But it's locked behind a paywall. I don't mind having villagers have to ask beforehand, BUT I wish it would cycle through who asked to leave. Like if villager A ask to leave and you say no, it should have to go through the rest of your villagers before they ask again. I had one villager that I didn't mind but they had their starter house and they were the only villager I wanted to move, it took me about a week of TTing to finally get them to ask. I can't imagine how this feels for someone who dosen't TT.

I think I see what you meant now. Something along the lines of "getting rid of villagers is 'easy' if you have the means to purchase "our" merch". I guess, but even then getting rid of a villager is 'hard' because that amiibo villager might choose someone you don't want to leave. There is a way to get rid of them, but imo you're faced with a lot of barriers to do it, so I wouldn't say Nintendo want's you to do it this way, it's more of a "we added this for those who might be interested", amiibo cards existed way before, so I'm sure people would've complained if they didn't have this feature. idk 🤷‍♀️ 🤷‍♀️

honestly? i don’t think i’d like it very much and wouldn’t really use this feature. it could definitely come in handy but that would make things a lil too easy for me along with the satisfaction of getting an unwanted villager out the old fashioned way >_<

I would only like it because it means I can give people their dreamies easier. But I prefer them asking them to move out on their own

I think the ability to choose who moves out every 2 weeks would be a fine idea. Like you can be the one the one who asks them to leave instead of the other way around? But to be able to do it whenever and everyday would be too much I think

too easy, in my opinion. part of the fun of AC for me is the challenge of working towards something (kicking out a villager out/looking for a villager you love) and the satisfaction when you finally do it.
