So Super Smash Bros is coming this summer & Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire remakes are coming out this fall for the 3DS. After about a year since the game came out how do you think this will affect the amount of people playing and the online community? :O
Hello Omega Ruby, but in all seriousness, I usually complete newly released Pok?mon games in about 2/3 days, so it wouldn't be long before I would start playing ACNL if I stopped.
I'll log in daily to make sure no one's moving and do the usual digging fossils/finding the money rock as I've been doing lately. It takes me about 20 minutes to do so I can easily get back to playing another game.
When Pokemon XY came out last year, I didn't play ac in like two months and I was really scared to go see my town after all that time.. I was so happy that my least favourite villager was the only one to move away, even the town was full of weeds and none of my villagers even remembered me I'm a bit scared what's gonna happen this time, cause I really love my town right now and I have all those cute villagers there. I guess I should just try to remember check it out daily c:
I think it doesn't affect me much. It is nothing different than what I currently do. I have even now some games I play and I just look in AC once a day and play a bit, or a bit more which depends on what I want to do on this day and then a different game (or two). I usually play only one game at a time but with Animal Crossing it is different, because... well... yeah..
im very very very excited for the super smash bros game
all my friends are getting it so it will definitely affect my acnl gameplay
as far as other people go though
i think there will still be a fair amount of people playing and on the forum
I got Disney Magical World about 3 weeks ago and that is taking up a lot of my gaming time. I still play ACNL everyday (2 towns) but it is usually 20-30 minutes for each town. Weekends I spend a little more time in each town, but DMW is where I spend most of my time. I love NL because of the relaxing nature of it, DMW, I seem to be running around from one world to another to the cafe and back again. At least I can run in DMW and not worry about killing flowers or grass wear.
I have a female one on my team (I can NEVER get male water types, unless the ration is 100% male, it NEVER gives me one!) I don't mind.
My X team is pretty good, they have max IVs in all stats!!! Greninja (named Mercury. Protean ability), Blaziken (Named Iroh. Speed Boost ability), Espeon (Named Sailor Moon. Magic Bounce ability), SHINY Arcanine (Named Sailor Mars. Intimidate ability), Roseraid (Named Biollante, Natural Cure ability), and I am not sure who to place in spot 6.
Pokemon and AC are really the only games I play, so it's not too much of a big deal for me. When Pokemon comes out, ACNL will likely take a massive dive in play time, but I'll still try to check in every day, or at least make a note of the last date I played so I can go back to that day and not lose any villagers. My town is pretty much complete so I can get away with a couple months of quick maintenance playing, then when I'm all Pokemonned out, I can get back into ACNL again. Same thing happened after X and Y and it's all good ^_^
as for the online community well probably all be down in the nintendo section LOL
unless i get really bored of tbt i doubt ill leave just because pokemon came out
I'm already in the habit of really only playing on my lunch break. The game doesn't need much more than that a day anyway. I already have other games that I play in my free time.
I'm really excited for both SSB and Pokemon, but unfortunately I'm a poor college student who can't afford many new games and has to wait until their popularity wanes and the price is cheaper. :c New Leaf was my "big splurge" of the year. So I'll probably keep playing Pokemon Y and New Leaf for a while!
Really the only other 3DS game I'm looking forward to right now is Bravely Default. It's in shipping right now. So it'll be interesting to see how it affects things but I doubt it will.
I'm sorry to say this, but it doesn't look good for AC:NL. There are two games that I'll play daily coming in 2014 (Bet you can guess one because of my username xD). It's still a long way off though, so things could still change.
I only play acnl so it won't affect me - I can't believe it's nearly a year since i've had the game yet it felt like a lifetime waiting for it to come out!
