Ok, so many videos like these have been popping up about villager moving and they seem very popular but also sketchy all the same. From my understanding, the game works just like NL so all you need to do is talk to the villager once and then ignore them for a while. However, this video says things like villagers interacting with other villagers or seeing you enter/leave their homes will speed up the process. Furthermore, according to the same video, if you "complain" about a villager to the Isabella, a campsite villager will ask to kick out that specific character.

Is any of this actually true?

i don't do this myself so i can't speak to a lot of these, but complaining to isabelle will only reset the villager to their standard. it's meant to be used if someone else gave them something like an inappropriate catchphrase!

I honestly doubt it. I don't think there's really any kind of solid method for TTing villagers out in this game like the cycle that was in NL.

I've tried the ignoring and complaining methods and none of those worked. I've honestly just had to settle for TTing one day ahead at a time and I manage to average about 3 to 4 of my villagers asking to leave for about 2 hours of TTing, I think it's completely up to chance. Villagers who I'm 'best friends' with will ask to move before villagers I hardly talk to, villagers who just moved in have asked to move right after they arrive as well. I've cycled out about 14 villagers this way since I obtained my first 10.

Campsite stuff I can't have an opinion on as this game has literally given me about 2 visits to the campsite total no matter how much TTing I do lol

Also as a side note the one day at a time method has worked better than any kind of 15 days and then 5 days for me, plus I feel I can keep a better eye on my town that way? Just a personal preference I guess.

Exactly as I thought. I'm sure it does nothing but that doesn't seem to be the case with these youtube videos with their rumors.

Do you ignore the villagers during those days of TTing?

When I'm TTing like that I honestly ignore all my villagers unless they run up to me to give me something. I've tried methods that ask you to TT a day, talk to everyone except the villager you want out, TT again, rinse and repeat, and honestly I'd rather just take the random chance of someone I like asking to move over the hassle of having to hunt everyone down and talk to them.

I've tried that method and had someone I talked to every day ask to move lol so I kinda gave up on it after that.
