How To Unlock Terraforming?

It seems like everyone has this unlocked already! Is it because of time travel? I have had the game since release day and I have only just started the next phase of Project K (the island rating bit). Do you unlock terraforming after this?

You unlock terraforming once your island gets a 3-star rating and K.K Performs at your island!

it's possible to unlock it at this time without tting depending on how fast you've been w getting all the upgrades for the day and such! once you get a 3 star rating KK will perform the next day and you'll get the ability to terraform

You unlock it once you achieve a 3 star rating.
I got mines up to a 2 star, so hopefully I get it tomorrow.

You unlock it after getting 3-star or more. It's definitely possible to have unlocked it by now if not time traveling. It required getting 3-Stars as of 2 days ago.

I'd probably have it by now if Isabelle would just give me that last star.
