how to move out inkwell

he won't leave and I don't have any amiibo cards to replace him. what do I do? how do I get him to leave?

If he’s the latest to move in he will literally never leave as the 10th villager will not ping. If he’s not the latest, he is still very likely to not move due to being an amiibo move-in. You’re stuck with him, sorry.

He also can't be adopted by another player either. I learned that sad fact when I tried to give my Inkwell to someone. Neither amiibo nor Sanrio villagers can be adopted from your town.

if he's your only amiibo villager, prepare for a lot of non-amiibo scanned residents to ask you to move before he will.

it took several months before ?toile randomly pinged me to move instead of my non-amiibos! it definitely caught me off guard, as it's really rare.

Yeah, I have never had an amiibo villager ping to move. I have had to move them out using other amiibos or cards. It's quite frustrating if you don't have that option.

You presumably scanned him in? Which means you have a reader or a new 3ds/new 2ds with the reader incorporated.

The easiest way is to buy a single pack of series 1-4 cards (still available in UK, don't know about other countries) or a single card via say ebay? Then you could go for a series 5 Welcome Amiibo card. Another alternative is a custom made card via Etsy.

You could just buy a couple of .99 cards off of eBay, there are a quite a few for a dollar that can easily remedy this issue.

I know I had to reset my town because I was blocked with only amiibo cards characters and none would move out except the two "natural" ones I still had.
