How to make villagers get rid of bugs and fish

I'm trying to remodle my villagers homes, but a lot of them have bugs and fish sitting on top of tables so they won't get rid of them. Is there any way I can make them get rid of these items?

Yes indeed. When they ping you and ask you to come to their house, talk to them a few times. After a while, they'll offer to sell you some of their stuff. There's always a few items that they won't part with, but usually stuff like fish, bugs, random stuff they asked for, stuff they bought in Re-Tail, etc, are all things they'll sell to you if you walk up to the item and ask about it.

no, they usually don't sell you fish or bugs because thry are "their pets"

instead send them stuff to replace the fish with. usually you need stuff that can be placed on top of things

i dont think some of my villagers will part with their "pets", lucky once said to me that he'll never part with his pet ray o_o

Yea, villagers don't sell fishes or bugs. You can send them a letter that attached a piece of furniture that can be placed on top of things. If you want to replace bigger fishes then just send them an item that is similar to the fish's size.
