My town map. That black dot is rosies house -_-.... Lucky shes cute or i'd be even more ticked at the fact of where she moved.

Anyway, i REALLY need help figuring out how to make my town pretty in such a ....difficult shape... So if anyone would help me think of ideas on how to make this town look good like PWPS paths etc like all the super pretty towns please help ^~^?

The only two things I would yell at are the placement of Rosie's house and the river shape.
Do you already have paths? Also, you should put many flower gardens up along with an orchard. Put a streetlight there or something. A villager might come and party on top of it XD

I really like where you put your cafe and campsite! If you ever get the police station there's plenty of room in the north to set it up. I would recommend a small park area in the empty spot inbetween residents houses on the bottom. You can do pretty much anything in the north.

A windmill would probably look nice in this town.

Funny I just visited a japanese player's town with this map...it was amazing!!

^ because i was too lazy to take a new picture and:

Her house is a black hole sucking up my hope for a cool town -_-;

Really? Which one i may be able to get some ideas on how to do this

My map is almost the exact same, except where your river curves out to the sea, mine goes straight down. I too am having issues with getting my town right...I just have way too many trees and flowers, and may have misplaced my police station, but couldn't fit it where I wanted it (northeast corner). I'm not sure how to take a pic of my map, though.

Top right strip of land: you can put a bench maybe if it fits or lay down a picnic mat

If you can make it work, in the curves of the river I'd put some trees and flowers, maybe a bench so it's like a park idk

I'm not going to lie, I stared at the black mark for ages then I read the post. I was so confused. XD

I actually quite like that layout, everything is placed quite well. If you look at the layout in a different way, it looks like some privates. Well, the river. The cafe is in a really nice place, same with the camp site.

For paths, your town can be split into four main sections: Below the town hall, below the vertical bridge, below the river, and below the plaza. For each of these areas, I drew 2 different paths, each shown in a different map: Map 1 and Map 2. (On the second map, the house can be connected to the above path to the left or to the right; I forgot to use my awesome drawing skills to add those lines in) While I only drew two maps to show all the paths, you could mix and match as you see fit, leading to 16 main possibilities. Black lines are the main paths, red lines are side paths, pink circles are places for gardens or parks, and purple circles are areas for large PWPs such as the police station or windmill. I also higly suggest putting a lighthouse where 'Lighthouse' is written, and a path and bridge where the yellow line is.

An easy way to take a picture of your map - aside from using an external camera - is to go to the Town Hall and ask to demolish a Public Works Project. When you do that, the map is shown on the top screen and you can take a photo with the in-game camera; you can then cancel out of the demolish PWP menu.

Cool ... Thanks

Your map is pretty much the same as mine but your river is a tiny bit different on the left side of the map. I do agree Rosie's house is in an annoying place.. but you still have so much space to put paths and PWPs.
As said before, the police station can be put near the town hall and train station. A waterfall opposite the train station and some street lamps. :)

I love that river shape! :) It's so interesting and pretty! ^.^ I actually reseted to get something like that and there is so much potential! Like those small bits of areas you get because of the shape of the river is so nice for putting down flower gardens or perhaps a nice sitting area - I mean, there are endless possibilities! :) Don't give up, it's really good :D
