Hey, I have been really inactive playing ACNL because it just got boring. I am going to reset my town and start again but i just realized, what's the point? So, i came here and i'm looking for answers.

What can I do to make the game more challenging?
How can i make the game more fun?

Thanks :) and sorry if this makes 0 sense.

Do you have all your badges?

Start new characters and decorate their houses.

Hows the town look? Does it need a makeover?

Troll the kids on club Tortimer. That's always fun.

It seems that the posters above narrowed down all the fun stuff you can do to make it fun.

You could try to challenge yourself not to tt or plot reset if that's something you did in your old town, that way you'll end up having to work with the natural development of the town o:

i actually did tt and plot reset so i might not do paths ands stuff, i might just make it seem like a peaceful town! Thanks for the tips everyone!

Try to catch all of the fish, bugs, earn all of the badges, and to make it fun, go to the island and fish, dive and play games. :)

totally agree with everything everyone else said. i think street pass makes it fun also. and i like searching for random dreams

Make up stories! That always gives me fresh drive. After a while, the game starts propelling itself forward again. I want to know what happens next!

Starting the town new with a plan in mind I think helps a lot. Maybe not a full theme necessarily but an overall feel for the town, that way you have an ultimate goal you're working toward. I also focus on badges too, and trading to fill my catalog.

I would really urge you to re-consider resetting your whole town. If you've lost interest, I don't think starting over and going through all the boring stuff at the beginning is going to make anything more interesting for you.

One thing that always rejuvenated my interest in my town, was when I'd have some new goal for decorating/landscaping. That always makes things more interesting, because you're working toward something. It gives you a reason to research paths/items, maybe design some yourself, trade online, chat with people, etc...just gets things going.

Another thing is new villagers always help make things interesting again. IDK why, but it's just a new person you can focus on befriending. Do you have any dreamies? Trying to get a dreamie, or even befriending one takes a long time sometimes, and gives you a tangible goal to reach for.

As well, these forums are nice because you can participate, or even host, giveaways, and parties in your town. There are a lot of ways you can use the game to socialize with friends...it doesn't have to be just you alone in your town feeling bored and uninspired. I'd try to look into aspects of the game that you haven't tried yet, and see where that takes you. :D

Reset and go with an out-there theme and story for your town that will force you to think outside the box in terms of decor and such. Don't do the typical, kawaii, cafe-themed town or something horror-themed. Go with something you haven't seen done in a DA before.

I find that with this game, absence makes the heart grow fond. Just put it down for a while. Don't play when it feels like a chore. You'll get back into it eventually. And definitely don't reset.

Get new villagers. No matter how great they are, having the same set of villagers for a long period of time has been confirmed to be bad for your health.
