How to make a design for a face cut out standee?

I know I'm probably missing the obvious but I don't know how to make one. How to?

I remember I found one online and then scanned that into the sewing machine. I made the cutout pwp face thing then I put the QR code design on it. I then wanted to change it and found I could erase that pattern and draw a new one on where the old pattern square use to be… ( I either did that or when you select it in your designs folder, you can edit it C: (just a guess!)
