How to make a dark room?

I need a room where all you can see (faintly) is a pair of shoes....
Any ideas?

What about the windows? I would say patterns... But they don't fit properly, and I don't want bookcases as if the shoes are see able, they are too :L

Put it in the basement. No windows.

Something in front of the windows could also work, especially if you turned the back towards the room. I'd go with the basement though.

Could you not customise a piece of furniture to black and place it over the windows? I don't know much about customisation, but maybe it's possible?

the windows don't matter...at night. i'd try it myself but my patterns are all taken.

I don't think putting stuff on the walls will cover the windows, however you might be able to cover them with furniture (i.e. a closet or something)... not sure on this though.

That will work. If you need something large, use a Tall Display Case, customize it to black, and you can block the windows with that.
