How to get villagers back after they move out

I know there's a way to do this. Bob just moved very suddenly and I want to get him back. How many villagers do I have to cycle before I can get him back?

16 villagers will have to move after bob has moved. then you can invite him back in

I believe it's 16. And I am sorry you lost him. That happened to me with Kid Cat, but I just got him back very recently, so don't give up hope! And you will start seeing him again in your Main Street soon

Update: Kiki moved. I guess I'm on my way to getting Bob back. I'm going to time travel all day for this. He's literally my bestie in acnl, and I WILL FIGHT TO HAVE HIM BACK

Hey, I understand. I feel the same way after losing Pietro. I made another town just the other day and am going to bring him in there As for tips, it's just a waiting and cycling game. I do know that after he stops appearing on your Main Street as a visitor, he will be viable to move back into your town. That was how I knew Kid Cat was ready.

this is a fast and efficient way to cycle when you don't really care who moves out! My friend used this when she was resetting and the villagers moved out super fast!

I'm just time traveling forward every 3 days and keeping track of whoever moves. So far four villagers have moved. I won't give up!

Easiest way if you don't care about loosing any villagers is when a villager is in boxes(very important), TT 1 year and 5 days backwards and save/quit, TT 1 year forward and save/quit, TT 5 days forward. Someone will ALWAYS be in boxes and a new villager will have moved in. You can get a villager in boxes within 5 minutes and works everytime.

Oh my goodness, thank you! I love my villagers, but I have no problem time traveling and losing them. I'm definitely going to do this, and I'll update you guys on whether or not it's working or not.

So you got it working then? ^_^ It's a really effective way to get villagers in and out quickly but only if you have no villagers you want to keep since you never get a ping.
