How to get villager from void?

I TT'd too far in my bf's game, which was holding Lucky for me and he moved out. I have an empty spot in my town. Do I just visit my bf's town? How do I know if it worked? It might have been a few days since Lucky moved out ... I thought it was safe to TT 5 days because Coco had just moved in, but I guess I messed up somehow.

EDIT: Would I be able to use the reset trick to set his plot?

you cannot get villagers out the void unless you cycle through 16, if you mean he was holding him and he lost him, then he now has to wait too.

Wait, do you mean he is on boxes? Or moved out?. If you had Lucky recently,then you would need to do the 16 vilager cycle to get him back, or it won't work if you ask him to move in.

I've never had Lucky in my main town. My bf got him from a giveaway, but is no longer interested in playing. I want to be able to pick Lucky up in my main town from my bf's void.

okay, so make sure that you have cycled 16, now tt 1 day a time and lucky will eventually ask to move and you may pick him up, you need 2 seperate 3ds's to do this.

Then you just go to his town,talk to Lucky and you'll have him after 2-3 days
Also,as Sayoko mentioned,you need two different 3DS's to do this.

Oh okay, so you want to get him from the "void". Make sure no one has visited his town since he was voided. You visit his town, and he visits yours just in case.

You can then TT in your game to see if he has moved in. No guarantee but it has worked for me.

You cant do the plot reset trick since you have 9. You need less than 9 to do that. A better way would be setting up camp and getting him from there. Villagers wont just pop in from the void and go into your town you know..
Also,do you have 8 or 9 villagers in your town?

Yes, you can TT just 1 day ahead and do reset plot trick to see if he has moved in. If you try a few times and no plot then save on that character for the day. Go on mayor, delete that new save. Then TT another day ahead and do new save to try again.

Oh no, when she meant plot reset trick she meant to place his house if he does come from the void.

Yes it has happened. I lost Diana and a friend visited me, she got Diana the next day. The same one from my town. It works but not always, especially if the person has voided more than 1 villager. You run the risk of getting either or.

Villagers appear from the void once you have less than 9. Although it is harder that way,since Villager types that you do not have in your town (eg. You do not have Uchi or Peppy in your town) only those types will move in. If you already have a lazy, there is probably no way of getting another lazy from the void.

Oh jeesh, this guy has a bunch of voided villagers! Just to be sure, I'm going to visit on my cycling town, too. I just hope someone purchases my Marina because I've been stuck on this same day for 4 days now, just keeping her in boxes -.-
