How to get rid of the bugs inside my house?

I actually do NOT want to get rid of them. I love them. But sometimes I step on them accidentally. I want to know how to get rid of them to make sure I don’t do anything that will cause them to go away

You mean the cockroaches? Go to every room and step on them then go back out of your house then come in and revisit your rooms. You will see a few more until the game will prompt that you got rid of them.

Got to be careful where you walk if you want to keep them. Though TTing forward will bring more, or just playing day by day without entering your house I believe (if it's like previous entries).

Great! Do you know if it’s only on certain season? I started getting them at the start of this month , however I didn’t have them before. I’d love if they stayed forever

you can also just manually grab a piece of furniture and move it in and out of place

assuming new horizons operates like every animal crossing prior

lol... they are awesome. I wish I could catch em and make a model. They come back when you reload either going into another room or exit the house.

Cockroaches are year round. They show up when you don't play for long periods of time(like a month a think).

I do remember them in wild world....but did new leaf have bugs? (I can’t remember that)


Edit: I googled it. I never had them because of the beautiful town ordinance.

I do have to say I find this a bit confusing, you want to get rid of them, but you don't want them to leave? As in you don't want to be able to step on them?
If you feel bad about stepping on them and having their little spirits leave their body, you can totally place the cockroach toys from the bug off on the floor, but those aren't interactive, they're more like stickers... :/

It's ok, that's what I thought after reading some of the replies, just wanted to make sure! I find it interesting that you keep stepping on them lol I have the opposite problem! The little stinkers love hiding in places I can't get to.

I’m always running around the house , and they always seem to be charging at me. Sometimes they stop very close to where I’m standing, and I have to be careful which step I have to take in order to not squish them.

My game aesthetics is kind of creepy cute (Like the Adams family, Caroline, the Nightmare before Christmas, etc). So when they showed up, I was sooo happy!
