Hi!! I've seen a lot of people really struggling to get PWPs, especially if they have no dreamies from a certain personality but want their PWPs, so I thought I'd share a helpful guide I found that shows how to pretty much get one PWP a day every time: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/997811-animal-crossing-new-leaf/66939527

I hope that this thread isn't considered low-quality, I'd like to make it into a general PWP discussion thread as well to help make it a better thread :)

What PWPs do you still need to get? And which ones did you get from using the method in the link??
I tested it out for myself today in both of my New Leaf towns, and in Drowsy, Jitters suggested a modern bridge, while in Lunavila, Deirdre suggested a scarecrow.

I don't really need any specific PWPs in Lunavila since I'm mainly focused on paths, but in Drowsy, I could really use a zen bench (and hopefully soon since I don't have any cranky dreamies), statue fountain, and wisteria trellis.

I just fill my pockets with flowers and run around town. If no one pings me with a pwp request, I save+quit and try again. I know a lot of people don't like this method, but I find it fast and easy.

Ahhh :3 It sounds a little more complicated to me than the one that I used, but I think any extra information and methods is always good to share!

I never tried that method before, but I'm amazed by how someone came up with it! I don't have a lot of problems with my villagers suggesting PWPs, believe it or not. Some days several of them have run up to me to give me ideas. I'm missing quite a few that the cranky types suggest, though. And I'd really like the hammock and zen bell, I think they'd make my town so pretty. <3

(Off-topic: I love your town names!)

Ahh, lucky!! I've gotten a fair amount of PWPs, but I'm trying to get a couple specific ones, and try to get the cranky ones as fast as I can since my cranky villager in Drowsy is one of the only two villagers I want to let go of.

(Thank you so much!)

I don't really strive to unlock pwps; if someone wants to suggest something, then aye, go for it

I'm pretty sure I've unlocked all the pwps I need/want, so I'm pretty much good to go...although I would like to be able to remodel my town hall, but perfect town seems impossible for me atm lmao

When I'm looking for a PWP, I fill my pockets up with flowers and shells and have my watering can equip (it really doesn't matter what I carry) leaving one space open in my pockets.
This may seem weird..but I also carry 99k bells in my pockets..like it's bait. My villagers are so greedy for bells so I use it to lure them quicker with it. (it seems to me it does)

I sit my character on the dock and wait for like almost 10 mins and then I start moving around town again to see if someone would ping at me, when I do get one, I unequip the item I was carrying quickly making my pockets full and talk to the villager. If they don't request a PWP I just go back to the dock and wait again.

(Hope this makes sense.)

To add, once if feels like I have all PWP request from like for example the normal villagers. I start shaking trees to get attacked by the bees on purpose (still weird things lol) and talk to all the other villagers except the normal villagers. Since they won't ping at you for having bee stings. (?)

I like to do the diving trick while watching something, its nice & relaxing

I used the diving trick for my last few PWPs. Lionel took WEEKS to suggest that modern cube, though. He suggested everything else first.

I actually finished collecting PWPs just a few days ago! I was so excited when Bluebear recommended the illuminated clock to me. I haven't collected every single PWP; I only ever got one from Canberra before she moved, and I don't have an Uchi now. I'm also missing two each from the Peppy and Cranky categories. But I have all the others, so now I've just got to finish landscaping the town and actually placing the rest of the ones I want.

holy **** so i found out about the diving trick last month and ive been doing it nonstop its addictive! i do it when im walking around town, taking a shower, napping, watching TV, ANYTHING

ive already got all of the lazy, normal, peppy, and snooty pwps and im working on getting all the uchi and jock ones now, specifically the solar panels and the bus stop and the log bench! i dont want ANY of the smug pwps, those are more for themed towns that want to have a specific landmark (except the totem pole** i need that omg). the cranky ones arent for me either, cranky villagers are very zen for some reason and my towns fairy tale oriented!

I just got the zen bench in Drowsy today!! I'm so glad, that was the cranky PWP I needed the most.

I got the statue fountain in Lunavila, which is unfortunately not the town I need it in, but any extra PWPs gives me more creative freedom overall, so I don't mind too much, I can try to get the statue tomorrow.

I got almost all of the pwps that I needed using this method. I don't plan on getting all of the pwps just the ones I want in my town. I think I might be all set when it comes to pwps, I don't really have much space left in my town to build any more.
