How to get golden roses?

Heya!
I have had New Leaf since it was released and used to play it religiously, but kind of became disinterested in it.
I'd built up a really nice town with nice villagers and a really perfect atmosphere, but as I have returned it seems that a lot of my flowers have disappeared. (I must have taken the beautiful town ordinance off before I left..) I really want to make my town nice again so I thought about getting gold roses!
Apart from buying them on here, how would I get them in game? (I forgot these thing lmao)
I really hope I can make my town nice again!

In order to get a gold rose, you must first obtain a gold watering can and black rose. To get a golden watering can, you must maintain a perfect town status for 15 days. Black roses are bred by placing 2 or more red roses next to each other.

Once you have these, place your black roses in your town and wait several days for them to wilt. Be sure to check every day. If you have the Beautiful town ordinance enacted, be sure to disable it. Once they are wilted, water them using your golden watering can. If you have done this correctly, by tomorrow they should have turned into gold roses.
