How to do island decoration with flower?

Hello, after not caring about maintaining my flowers after three days of rain... My island is overflowing with them again. So I want to take time to redecorate the island with flowers and also make sure they don't over grow again ==

But I have no idea what I want to do!! I already have a tiny flower garden and tiny rainbow flower area. What other ways can I use flowers?

For flowers, do you use them next to roads? Behind or in front of trees? Next to furniture decorations? Should they mixed together? What flower combinations works well? Put them together with breed or together with color?? What do you do to prevent them from overflowing? I feel like I don't have enough pattern slots to get different looking ground and paths. And using furniture to block flower growth also really suck with running across the island since they block your way.

Also, how many hybrid should you keep? I have been selling the seed color ones and keeping the hybrid but I have a beach full of them and my friend only needs so few T.T

For reference, my island is mostly natural/garden/rustic feel, so you'd think there's plenty of spots to put flowers.

Hello! While this is totally up to you I tend to usually line my paths with flowers. Due to it being a natural town you can always put a few along your paths then have it stop randomly in some parts. I also like to mix the coloring/type of flower when placing them at the base of trees. Sometimes for the deco (like having a table) I pick the flowers and decorate by placing them on the tables, etc. However, It's really YOUR town so what looks best to you is all that matters, don't let peoples opinions tell you otherwise

i like to line paths with flowers. it depends on the look you're going for but making cute gardens is also nice in my opinion!

I put single ones around my path to give a natural look yet keeping the view interesting!!

Yes yes, do you put flowers of same type/color on path or alternates? I always go overboard with placing them with path and don't know how to stop without it looking abrupt lol.
Only thing I don't like bushes is that it blocks you... So I can just go chase after a butterfly/ballon without taking a detour.

I had a hard time decorating with flowers since my island has a more natural theme so I don't have paths. So my flowers are aligned with tree spacings. (Like a tree, space, flower, space, tree.)

But in front and behind my Resident Services, I have a line of flowers with colors from black to white as if it's a sunset to a sunrise. I have some buildings lined with flowers and flowers to the entrances of my fenced areas. All of my villagers have flowers in their yards that best fit with their house colors.

But my favorite use of the flowers was making a flower field surrounding a crescent moon chair and then again to fill up space between my cliffs and the beach.

I can probably fill the space, that sounds nice. Especially if weeds still grow there.

I think that would be very pretty! Imagine the arch looking over the cliff to the water surrounded by flowers. Love it

Typically if I have “too much negative space” then my first idea is flowers typically.... I also have a rainbow garden, all the different roses and nova lights!

recently though I decided to stick to a color scheme of flowers... eliminating black red and pink colors, because I had too many flowers displaced with renovations. It kills me to throw away hybrids but like I can never sell them so rip

yeah it’s true, but when I consistently bump my threads and no one buysanything, I’m then just a tick waiting to see if someone will actually buy anything and I can’t move forward with renovation

Haha makes sense. I gave up on turnips. Too stressed each day and I can only play for a few hours so trying to line up to go in an island is not working well. Not to mention I like to time travel on a whim to find new villagers when I get tired of looking at current ones. =="
