Hey all, so I have found a method that works where you can cycle, keep your dreamies, and have a guaranteed ping or a villager that wants to move!
You must be on speaking terms will all villagers for them to ping.
1: Once you have a villager in boxes, if you want someone to adopt, go ahead, or void them by continuing on.
2: Go back one year and 5 days.
3: Go forward one year.
4: Go forward 1 days this time.
5: Run around town. If no villagers ping, talk to one of your dreamies, or someone you want to keep. They should tell you someone is moving. Since no one pinged, its probably a villager inside.
5a: If you want them and they are inside, or in main street ect, time travel a few hours forward or back. Don't go too far.
5b: If you dont want them, tt 4 days ahead. Once they move, repeat the cycle.
6: If they somehow don't ping, talk to them. If they dont introduce themselves, something went wrong.
For example:
May 7th 2015: ___ in boxes, ___ new.
May 2nd 2014: Save and Quit.
May 2nd 2015: Save and quit.
May 3rd 2015: Someone pings, or someone tells you ___ is thinking of moving.
I don't think this has been posted. It has worked again and again for me.
