how to close a thread?

Can someone let me know how I should go about closing a thread? sorry, rather confused ;w;

you can do it yourself in sections such as tbt marketplace (and i think vtp as well..remind me if there are more). otherwise just pm a mod and they can do it for you

You can close your own threads in the TBT Marketplace, Museum Shop, Villager Trading Plaza, and Re-Tail.
The other boards, you need to report the OP post in your thread, and a mod will close it.

ah i thought they meant closing as in no longer want it be used. but thanks for the heads up!

there is a small tab at the yellow bar below the title of the thread. There should be an administrator button, press that then press close. Another way is above the post quick reply row, it says close thread next to a tick box. You can tick it but you have to post a quick reply for it to close.
