How to clear my void?

How do I do this? Kevin moved out yesterday and I really want to buy a villager from the trading plaza, but a lot of them say you have to have a clean void xc

you have to visit someone who has 10 villagers in order to clear yours.

Usually if you post in the train station about needing to clear your void, someone will let you come over and do it quickly.
