Just in case anyone didn't know:
When you purchase turnips from Daisy Mae, grab a spare one and chuck it on the ground outside. Leave it there a whole week and by the next sunday, it will become rotten.
A spoiled turnip spawns ants carrying pieces of food to a nearby nest. Use your net to catch one for your critterpedia and museum
