how similar is your NL villager lineup compared to your NH lineup?

i have different villagers, except for beau and genji, who i had in NL. this is mostly because i had sanrio villagers in my town (like, 3 of them) and then i used other amiibos to get villagers like felyne, cece, and viche. :U (rip to all these villagers, wish they would bring them back!)

My NL favorites are still lovely, but I want to give other villagers a chance.

I unintentionally mixed things up this time and I love it! I have 4 villagers from NL (one moved away accidentally due to bad TTing i in NL so it was a really nice reunion too..), 1 who’s new in general (Raymond), and 5 who I’ve never had before.

I already knew before New Horizons came out I wanted a whole new set of dream villagers with the exception of Papi because he's my baby boy.

pretty similar! i have punchy, filbert, lolly, marshal, dobie, and chief like from my new leaf save file. i also brought in/am planning to bring in genji, pietro, vivian, and audie/bob (still deciding between the two). many of my older dreamies (ie punchy and marshal) are very special to me, so i knew i had to have them in my new horizons save as well!

I've reset New Leaf so many times. But the villagers from my last current NL save that also live in my island right now are Sterling, Punchy & Rod.

I had a couple villagers in my new leaf town that I carried over to new horizons because I loved them so much! I kept Fang and Molly. Other than that, I wanted to have new villagers so I could get a sense of change, and I didn’t want to cling on to my town so much.

I have different villagers. So far haven't taken in anyone from NL because I wanted to meet new villagers (it definitely hurt leaving Lopez and Julian )

I only plan on having 3 villagers from my NL town on my island in NH. At first, I only planned on having Kid Cat, as he's my all-time favorite villager, but then I started to feel depressed about my island since I didn't have my "Big 3" (Fang, Julian, Kid Cat) living with me After reuniting with Julian, I feel loads better, but my heart still pangs for Fang whenever I see my favorite wolf/ cranky in pictures and such. So now I plan on moving him in as well whenever I find him

That's about it though. Everyone else on my island are either new faces, or those I never got the chance to enjoy in NL due to villager trading. I'm seriously in love with Zell and Zucker! Never had the chance to enjoy Zell, and never had Zucker before. They're both so cute!

At the moment the only repeat villager I have is Marina, but planning to bring back Fauna as well.

I had intended to bring back more old villagers, but I've gotten attached to the new ones I've met. Variety is nice.

I've only brought back two villagers, Moe and Tom. They have been my favorite villagers since pretty much the year new leaf came out. I knew I wanted them on my island and I got them. They are the only long term villagers I had in new leaf that I plan on having permanently in new horizons. I did just move Kabuki into my island who I had for a bit in new leaf, but he wasnt one of the villagers I kept for years.

Originally I just brought Olivia back to my island, but then I saw Chief in someone else’s town and I couldn’t resist bringing him back to mine. All my other villagers are new though

my current lineup isn’t very similar to my new leaf lineup at all - but once i have my dream villagers, it’ll be similar in terms of lolly, skye, sprinkle and diana ;u;

I have no memory of which villagers I had in NL. I did know when I turned the game back on recently I had Julian, but I have no idea when he moved in.

EDIT: Went back through my 3DS pictures, I had Cherry, Punchy (OMG), Eunice, Keaton, Claudia, Angus, Snake, and Pompom in the early time I played the game. Snake, Punchy, Eunice, Claudia, and Pompom being the originals.

Julian was in my game when I came back to it years later for the Welcome Amiibo update. Interesting how lucky I got there!

I have Cherry in my NH town. That's the only similarity.

I am a heck of a lot more picky with my villagers now than I was back then. That's kind of sad, actually.

I only have one villager in common between my games because I am super attached to them. The rest are all different!

The only villager I share in NL and NH is Marshal because he's special to me for personal reasons (nothing to do with popularity).

I may have had Punchy in one of my NL towns as well but I don't remember (I did make a cat town so it's possible) but I invited him through amiibo just to avoid a random move-in. If he moves out I won't be super pressed.

In NH, I discovered the existence of Papi! I did not play that game long, so I consider it justified to want to have him on my island eventually as well. Other villagers I cannot remember from NH, but in WW I had a few that have returned to me in NH: Whitney, Peanut and Agent S. While Agent S will leave after a while, I really want to keep Whitney and Peanut. The rest of my line up - besides Papi - have been and will be new for me

This is all in the name of discovering new favourites! I have been succesful in that up until now, since Deirdre is now one of my absolute favourite villagers ever!

Very similar - Rosie, Punchy, Kiki, Ken, Tangy, and Ankha are all returning favorites.
