i really love all my babies in my nl town, but i'm torn between keeping all the same villagers i had in acnl and having some new buddies to hang out with.
i'm kind of leaning towards a mixture of my absolute favorites + some new ones, but it's just so hard to choose ;__; anyone else have this issue hahah
I completely understand that! Although I have to say that with the changes+HD resolution that the villagers have been given, many that I thought I wouldn't like I now love. I have really been enjoying having villagers I previously overlooked, many of my old favourites will remain favourites but just aren't a priority for my island. However, there are a couple like Bluebear, Kiki, Pudge, Pekoe, Aurora etc that are just all time favourites and I can't decide whether or not I would like at least one in my town at some stage. For now I will enjoy visiting them from time to time on my nl town and just enjoy fresh faces.
I miss some of my NL villagers
They were literally so perfect. I only have Bea and Biskit from my NL town. Missing Plucky, Boots, Rosie, Wolfgang, Diana, Kyle, Walker and Daisy.
I love my NH villagers as well though so I don't think I'm going to have the same villager lineup.
honestly in new leaf my town had all the amiibo villagers like wolf link, epona, ganon and that octopus so i couldn't get those back
i did also have axel, fauna, katt and colton but i forgot the rest tbh
the only one's i kept on my new horizons isalnd is axel, fauna and katt but now i reset my game i decided to only bring katt back ☆
personally, i don't like having the same villagers in all my games because i like to befriend other villagers ♡
since there are so many it's hard to just keep the same 10
I started with most of my og nl line up but i found that i vibed with some of them but didn't vibe with some of the others as well and i fell in love with some new characters along the way so i think my lineup is now mostly characters i've never had before c:
I don't have any of my New Leaf villagers in my New Horizons town. I've been happy mostly getting random move ins! I really want to get Tabby eventually though.. but as of right now, I like getting to know the villagers that I never would have thought about having, like Egbert and Ken and Anabelle! For me, dreamies will be end game in a year or two.
Only have two same permanent villagers (Marshal and Maple) because I wanted to have mostly new ones. I have some I’ve had on NL previously but they weren’t permanent on my NL town so I want to spend some time with them again (Molly, Fuchsia).
Don't have any NL villagers in my NH town, but it would be nice seeing them again, although this time I want villagers I don’t have, the closest for me was seeing them in a message in a bottle.
it's completely different! i didn't have any of the villagers i have now in my NL town, or any of my towns in the older games for that matter... back then, rather than gathering my favorites, i just had random villagers moving in and out. i didn't participate in the online community so i couldn't trade, and i didn't have any amiibos. this is the first game in the franchise where i've been able to have a town full of dreamies.
i'm sort of torn between loving it this way and wanting to go back to seeing who shows up on their own...
I'm in the same boat as you, I'm bringing in my absolute faves and mixing them with new villagers I like but haven't had yet in ACNL... Right now the villager I had before in ACNL that I brought over to ACNH are: Chief and Diana, others I'm bringing in are Beau and Lily, so in total 4 of them are from my ACNL
i have one of the villagers I had in new leaf in new horizons, I really wanted to try experience new villagers and although I miss some of my new leaf babies like Kitty, Agnes and Boots I’m glad I chose against having them in NH and I’m starting to love some different villagers just as much!
Out of my NL town, I have Zucker, Henry and Wolfgang.
I knew from the start that I had to have Zucker as he is my absolute favorite villager and I can't imagine playing NH without him.
I came across Wolfgang on a mystery island. I didn't really intend to get him ion my NH island in the beginning, but when I saw him, it brought back a lot of memories because he was my permanent villager back in NL so I decided to invite him.
I also got Henry's amiibo card so I decided to invite him as he was one of my NL besties.
Right now, I'm also thinking about inviting Katt since I have her amiibo. She was also my permanent NL resident and my favorite Uchi but I also really like Plucky whom I've never had. If I were to ever run into Plucky on a mystery tour, I'd probably end up inviting her just to see how I feel.
At first, I also really wanted Merengue but I'm not seeking her out. If I do run into her then there's a possibility I might replace Wolfgang with her since I already have two crankies and not willing to let go of Lily.
I'd also like to eventually get Olivia but I'm open to other snooties for the time being.
The only villager on either of my islands who was in my NL town is Fauna. I lost her to TT'ing so didn't have her very long, so I don't think it counts! I've deliberately opted to experience different villagers this time around and I'm so happy I did. I've so many new favourites that, back in 2013, 21-year-old Vris would never have given a chance.
I always try to have different villagers, but I started with Sly, and he was in my town in New Leaf. I can't bring myself to kick him out. All the other villagers are "new" to me, though.
In NL i had loads of high tier villagers because I was 13 and immature and thought it made me cool
Now I take any of the villagers that I come across and like the look of, and have no interest in what tier they're in. They all deserve the highest tier
I say this but then I have lily, and she's been in all of my towns since WW. But shes a babe so accept it

I have 4 of my NL villagers in NH (Fang, Whitney, Lolly, Canberra) but I want another one (Genji). tbh 5 is a lot for me and I really want to meet more new villagers I haven’t had before so I might swap out Lolly for Genji rather than having half my island be villagers I’ve already had.
