I'm having trouble figuring out exactly where I should lay out a pathway in my town. Since this is my first time doing this suggestions would be very appreciated~
Looks like a nice town.
I'd say it really depends on villager houses. If you don't have all your dreamies yet, it'll be more difficult. Or you can build the town paths while waiting for move-ins by altering the paths to fit whatever.
BEWARE THE DIAGONAL BRIDGES. Your paths cannot match up to them quite well.
(Consider doing natural dirt paths too)
My advice to you is to start by connecting major buildings, like Re-tail and Town Hall and the train station and the event plaza, etc with paths. Then you can move on to connecting houses. I don't know how attached you are to all of your villagers. I'd recommend changing that diagonal bridge. Trying to do paths diagonally is annoying and never look right. Hope this helped!
It's your town, so you can obviously do it however you please, but this would be my ideas. Given I don't know the actual spacing of things or rock placements in your town. Feel free to visit my DA if you can for ideas on how to lay them out.
i actually like diagonal bridges, they're really unique and i dont see them that often. I visited a dream town with diagonal bridges and she/he set up really nicely. I wish i took pictures but they used bushes and trees to make the diagonal path look not so zigzaggy.
