Do you guys TT a lot? I've been trying to avoid it because I figure if the game was meant to be played day-by-day, I should stick to that. But I don't know how long I'll be able to do that before I get bored of the game...

I've never done it because I actually want to play the game for what it is. Lol

I did it a bit in the beginning, but not very often. The game does get boring when you TT and you do suffer consequences when you go too far (turnips, villagers, etc.).

Literally every day. XD That'll probably slow down once I get to a certain point, though.

Literally all the time! cx
I run a cycle town so I have to constantly TT, though on my main game I try not to TT as much, but if I need to, then I do. .3.

TTing isn't too bad though, I used to TT a lot in the beginning, because once I was done with the day, I wanted to do more. So I would only TT it day by day, going back in time any amount of days is only one day too, so if I wanted to go back to real time, I would do just that... But, now I'm pretty much a little too busy to TT, so I'm sticking with real time playing for now! You don't really suffer any consequences... Unless you have turnips I guess, but that's pretty much it, and if you prolly TT a week or 5 days ahead, you might lose someone if you're not careful that is. I didn't lose anyone precious to me yet, since I'm very careful and talk to my villagers as I TT day by day (when I do).

It just depends on the person I guess. It's up to you HBear, do what you want ahah, it doesn't really matter how you play it, as long as you have fun

Every time i play. I literally dont have time to play it the way itnsupposed to, my town would be finished in 50 years if i were to play normally!

yeah i pretty much TT every time i play. I typically check with my villagers, see what's in the shops, then time travel to the next day and do it all again. when i'm ready to quit, i time travel back to the current day.

I TT a fair bit, but mainly because I'm still trying to make my town look perfect - which means planting trees and bushes. I'm too impatient to wait for them! I always try to TT back to the original date once it's all built - It confuses me so much when I'm on a different date/time! I do like to play it normally though, when I'm not re-landscaping ect. :)

To everyone that says they TT back to the current date:

Does it mess up the game in any way if you TT a little in the future and then back to the current date?

the downsides to time-travelling are: if you don't have beautiful town ordinance, then you may get extra weeds and dead flowers; your turnips will spoil; and you risk a villager moving out if you time travel for too many days in a row. (one way to protect against move-outs though: if you deny a villager move-out request, you are then safe to time travel and nobody will have moved out in the interim)

also, when you time travel backwards, no matter how far back you go, the game counts it as only one day for measuring things like villager move outs etc...

Oh okay! That helps a lot, thank you! :)

...and who said the game should be played day-by-day? The time traveling option was put into the game so I don't see why some people make a big deal out of it.

Anyways, I've been TTing since the gamecube version so I time travel whenever I'm done my tasks for the day (In the game that is)

I prefer not to TT, but I will if I didn't play for a few days. Making sure no one moves and maintaining the town are my top priorities. :)

I used to do it daily, now I just do it to see whether a bush is going to grow somewhere. There's not much need for me to tt for anything else now really and I don't like risking my villagers

I don't TT at all, I used to TT a lot but not any more. I found with TTing it makes the my town become complete way too quickly, and I don't want to complete my town quickly. I find the quality of my town is better if I take my time with it, so I don't time skip. I find if I don't time-skip I feel like because I have a limit of things to do in one day it's much better for me personally. Maybe it's because i'm a pretty patient person, but I always get excited when I load up my mayor because I know one of my bushes or trees will have grown or are growing. It can be a bit of a pain though when you're re-landscaping your town. I say do what you want though, it's your game so you should play it how ever you'd like to!

i've tted a lot to get the villagers i wanted,
but i'm trying to cut back on that but sometimes i just can't help it when i wanted to get another villager XD
i don't have a dreamie list because i change my mind so frequently!!
but yeah, i tt to get villagers to move in and out,
other than that, i try not to tt c:

I TT all the time...I'm too impatient...

I normally play 5-10 animal crossings days per day... yep I'm addicted

however...this isn't all the time...

sometimes I will just play 1 "day" for hours on end...just because I feel like it or if I'm trying to achieve some sort of "goal"
I have slowed down my tting a lot...because I complete things too quickly and it gets a bit boring.
