How often do you buy turnips?

In my town i never see the turnip guy(dont know his name cause i never saw him in my town). i had Animal Crossing sense Christmas and i go on it almost every day never see him. i dont know why.

It is a woman, Joan... She comes to town on Sunday mornings. She is in a different spot usually each week, but she will be in that same spot the entire day
