How much would you say shaved-ice lamps are worth?

People are selling these for millions of bells, I'm so confused.. It kind of annoyed me to see that I gave them to people for free and they then go and sell it to someone for an outrageous price.
I would never ask for that for much anything, let alone a FREE item.
I'm curious as to how much you guys think its worth? It takes about 5 minutes to make one and there are plenty of people like me that just give them to people for free.
If I was living somewhere else I would pay no more than 50,000 and that is if I was desperate ha.
What about you?

I don't really understand what's with all the hype on it. How hard is it to get? Is it reorderable? I understand it's region exclusive. To be frank, I don't really think it looks all that nice. It wouldn't match my decor at all and therefore I haven't really given it much attention.

To be honest, overpricing anything really annoys me.

I sold 1 for 40k and gave 1 away. It isn't re-orderable, but all it takes is access to your router and a new character and you can get one.

Yeah, I think it's a bit frustrating. At least there were some people (like yourself) giving them out for free, I'm sorry they just sold them, that's awful. I'm trying to find one, hopefully they give it out in the US someday ^^ I don't feel comfortable paying those high prices right now. I'd be depriving my precious town of projects!

Its NOT reorderable, and since its region exclusive for a specific time, people can be sure that if they havent already got one they probably never will.
Thats why some of them are willing to pay excessive amounts of bells.

I think people are getting confused about the item itself and think that it is going to be as rare as the 7/11 DLC or something. The sellers usually don't provide much info except they have a lamp and they are selling it for so-so price.

It is kind of annoying to see them sell for over 1 million bells each, but there are so many other items selling for so much more than they are really valued at. Such as gold nuggets selling for 100k each, bushes selling for 50k+, regular gems(rubies, sapphires, etc.) selling for 50k+, Fortune Cookie Items selling for 50k+.

I also think it's ridiculous that they are being sold for millions. I have one for myself, and If i would get more I'd give them away for free. I give almost all my stuff for free to be honest, it's not that hard to make bells.

as for the shaved Ice lamp, I just can't be bothered making a new character, and I don't want to screw up my town haha.
But yeah, anything else is free!

I see people selling them for 1.5M - 2M
I'm sure that we'll get it here in NA eventually though

Personally I dont think it's that suprising. It's a non reorderable, time limited, region specific item. Once it's gone, it's gone.

I wouldn't mind paying that much if it were a big item. But it looks so tiny in the pictures! >_< I would feel weird paying so much for an item that isn't even noticeable, you know? And on top of that it's something that you obtain in 5 minutes... make a new character, download the lamp, transfer it to another character, and delete character.

I can't really blame them for charging so much though. I started out giving hair-bow wigs for free, then I started selling them for 20k. Then when people started offering to buy them for 100k, I started selling them for that. Made an auction with the starting bid at 100k, it went up to 1M so I sold it for that. Now that I have my own shop I charge 500k for them which is outrageous considering that the item is only worth 4,800 bells. But I was annoyed over the fact that a lot of the people that I gave the wigs to for free/20k were selling them for 500k-1M so I gave in and decided to sell them for that much myself.

What I'm trying to say is that if the consumer is willing to pay so much for em, the seller will take advantage of the situation.
