how much is the wii now?

If you only want it for the few games that you mention... just get a preowned one.
Hell, seen as you have a job and money to burn! Get a new one, go nuts.

ITT david attempts to troll nintendo fanboys

a wii shouldn't be more than $200, think around $150 or so, probably less if used. best buy has a refurbished one ~$110, iirc.

the "HD" cables are just composite cables.
also, on a flame note, take your "must be high def/i'm too mature for this forum" elsewhere. don't have to get elitist when you're asking for help/knowledge, bro. I'm sure that there's plenty of other forums looking for a know it all.

edit: oh god another page to reply to what is this i even

I would honestly see no problem buying off of ebay. I've done that with a gbasp, and though it's a world different (cartridges instead of discs/lasers), it works just fine/in pretty much perfect condition, except a few scratches on the top. but it isn't like i'm going to resell it, so as long as it works, i'm not complaining.

you can also get a good bundles with people punishing their kids by selling their games/going through old games. especially if they don't know how much it's worth.

virtual console plays at the game's original screen size.

you can play i in widescreen, but it'll be warped, IIRC. at least, that's how gamecube games come out. i haven't played a virtual console game in a coon's age.

computers ftw.

not trying to be a know it all, i just prefer high def compared to the blurry mess that standard def is.

i wouldnt mind saving some money, you just never know with the used consoles, they could break at time due to previous misuse, and then ill end up spending more money on repairs than i wouldve if i had just bought the new one.

So then buy a new one? It's not going to be a huge step up in price.

I lol because even in high def, your virtual console games are going to have the same res/they're going to be pixelated/blocky, if on the n64. crisper, i guess, but still pixelated & stretched.

@ used, I have never heard of someone repairing their nintendo console, beyond gold/silver cartridges for the game boy, and the very old NES, much less having to pay for it. but eh.

inb4 sony/nintendo fanboys say RRoD

We all know that this is just a thread for David to brag about all the money he has to spend.

lol wow. you really think i care whether or not i look mature on a forum? and i really don't understand how you seem to have come to the conclusion that i'm trying to be mature, im simply asking about the price of a wii, and whether or not it comes with hd cables. I play with hdmi, its a whole different level from standard, and now, i just cant stand the blurriness that comes with standard cables.

Sorry if i appear to be "above" you. If you really are concerned about it, I'd suggest getting some help. A forum isn't a "who can be above everyone else" contest.

anyways, they're around 200 bucks. there's wii hd cables, but it doesn't really improve the quality a whole lot.
You better be trolling.
