So how many villagers should i talk to get the rumor of a villager moving? I know some dont even tell u the rumor.

I don't believe there's a specific number. If someone is moving, one of the other villagers will tell you and sometimes it might be the first villager you talk to or sometimes the last. I don't think there's a set rule for it. And it's not necessarily someone you're particularly close to either. I've had villagers who've just moved in tell me someone is leaving. Just remember, there may not be anything to tell you today and that's why they're not telling you anything...

You should talk to a peppy villager and keep talking to them - if they ask for new gossip and remark you aren't talking then no one is moving.

But if you're looking for the moving villager then just walk around your town. They should ping you to say they're moving. Just make sure to do it as soon as you start the game to make sure they're outside.

Oddly enough my peppy villagers don't really tell me. I have more luck talking to a jock or a lazy villager :/

But yes! Also if you want the villager that's moving to stay you have to get him/her to ping you so you can deny their request xD if they don't you can do the diving suit trick and then come back to them to see if they ping you. If you do want them to leave, just don't talk to them until they're in boxes.

I never rely just on what villagers gossip, because sometimes it can take a while for a villager to bring it up and it's easy to miss.

When I want to get a villager out or check if anyone is going to move, I just set my 3DS calendar to something like a year in advance. Then I use a new character to start the game and look at the map to see who's missing. I quit without saving, set the year back to normal, and then I can play knowing who's thinking about moving.
