How many player profiles did you use?

-You're not going to be able to use any internet functions with extra characters, like the Able Sisters kiosk or dreaming. I'd hope someone wouldn't get a NSO membership for themselves and seven mule accounts! 😮
Do you mean you can't use these at all, or you can but only on your main Resident?
Also if you main resident gets whatever code, could your other characters use that pattern in their house since it is already downloaded?

In total i have 3 for many reason to be hones, such as;

- Different house theme interior and exterior
- Different like people theme too ( the way they look and dress )
- Storage

The only downside is that they take up too much space sadly

-The home page on your Switch will be cluttered with eight accounts. Every time you open up something, it'll ask you which of your eight users is going to be opening it. :cautious:
You can avoid this by deleting the users off your Switch. It still keeps their houses in ACNH, but they'll be locked from usage until you make another account to control them with.
When you create a new account to play an unclaimed character, does it have to have the same name as the old one or something? or does the game just prompt a new profile to play an unclaimed character?

I made a second character to make a hotel c:
I haven't thought about storage at the time but it's been quite beneficial!

The limit is 8, I think? how would you fit that many houses on the island anyway xD

I have two characters right now. I might at some point add one more. I want to see what updates we get and if we get any more buildings first.

For the longest time I only had my one main, but I made an alt to help me farm stuff. Eventually I grew too attached to delete my alt so I decided to keep them.

Having an alt is great and I wish I did it sooner. Beaides making farming/grinding easier, I have way more storage (good for storing seasonal decor) another house to decorate with ideas that don't fit my main house theme/don't have enough rooms for and more game stuff to do. More recipes to collect, paying off their house uses my extra bells and more opportunities at getting rare or seasonal recipes.

Yep! Only the residents that have an account linked to NSO can use functions.
Since all the patterns are shared, you only need one to download patterns!

I just tested it out! You're given the option to pick up as one of the unclaimed users or start a new account (If you have less than 8, I believe. I tested it with my secondary island which thankfully doesn't have any more than 2 at any given time.)

i currently have 3 profiles; mine and 2 side characters! i’ve been thinking of getting rid of one, though, so i might be down to 2 characters sometime in the future aha c’:

I only have the one profile. As nice as having extra storage space would be, I don't really need nor would really use a second character so I haven't really bothered with making another profile.

I have two characters. I really only play on my main character. The second character was originally made as I needed a new building for a diner. It is really useful for extra storage. I haven’t upgraded much as I only needed a diner with a kitche.n.

Another bonus is of course you get double diys and Gulliver / Gullivarr and Redd art.

I only have the one main character on Muir Wood. I don't want it to feel too cramped to keep the natural feel, if that makes sense? So there's no neighborhoods or anything like that, and I worry that if I added another character, I wouldn't know where to put them without making an area feel too busy.

For Inverness, I might add a couple more characters once I get the rest of the island in order. I'd like to have more of a main street / town feel, so a couple houses to represent cafes, restaurants, shops, or even just regular homes would be a nice touch, I think.

I have 2 characters on my island one is mine and the other is my husbands. I have seen people make some really nice looking mansions and princess castles and so on. But personally for me I don't want other characters on the island as I want the space for other things.
