Yet another surprising turn of events! Last week, I was surprised to discover that villagers could visit me at home on their own accord. Today, as I got ready to do my part-time job at the cafe, I was shocked when out-of-towners showed up for coffee!
I kind of panicked, as the list I'd specially written down in a notebook that I keep by my side when I'm working at the cafe only has my own villagers' preferences on it. I had to fire up my browser and look for information on how Rosie and Chops like their coffee. (And Chops is listed as T-Fan on thonky.com's coffee list!?)
Are you working every day at the cafe? Who are the out-of-towners that you have served coffee to?
I got Benjamin today...first time for someone that doesn't live in my town. I use notecards, so I just started a card for him, in case he either moves in or comes back. At least he gave me two of his preferences...Sylvia (who does live in my town) didn't give me any and I made her coffee all wrong.
OH MY GOSH. THIS. It was about time for me to be getting a new villager, since Tiffany had recently moved out. Not really thinking about it, I went straight to the Cafe to make some quick bells. (from coffee beans, I mean) So in comes Lucky, okay. Then Caroline and Kapp'n. Okay, whatever. THEN BOB. I LOVE BOB. The Kiddie furniture BOSS from my Gamecube days. I was SO excited and immediately assumed he'd moved in, since he was in my cafe. I had NO idea out of towners could even show up in there. I run outside with my awesome coffee beans and check my map, NOTHING. D: I was so very very very disappointed.
I've served coffee to 13 out-of-towners so far (at least since I've been taking notes): Wolfgang, Angus, Victoria, Pancetti, Doc, Sly, Lucky, Nana, Queenie, Chadder, Coco, Fauna, and Bubbles. I don't use a guide for it, I just keep all the info on what works (and doesn't) in a text file on my computer.
So, apparently, you don't get to serve out-of-towners every day? I was excited to work in the cafe today but I only got to serve my own villagers. And Phyllis. I hope I get out-of-towners again tomorrow!
Of non-villagers, I've served Kapp'n, Digby and Phineas. Fortunately I had gotten some clues as to what kind of coffee they like by talking to them when I'd found them randomly in the cafe. I also keep a text file with uncovered coffee preferences. I like to discover it on my own, because it's more fun that way
