Cranston - I honestly always forget he's even on my island. He's cute, but I already have 3 lazies I'm keeping. Plus, I have his amiibo if I regret the decision.
Beau - I only scanned him in so I could make NMT when he moves out. He's my sister's favorite villager, which is why I bought the amiibo card, but I used him to get a taste of the selling limelight.
Freckles - Cute but not a favorite.
Shari - I like her, she's very sweet and it's really cool that she loves flowers (I gift her my rare flowers), but I have 10 dreamies I need to go for. Sorry, Shari!
Marina - I have her amiibo as well and scanned her in for a friend. I would keep her, but I have two normals on my dreamie list already. If I ever get another Switch/if they allow profiles to have their own island, I'd be happy to take you in, Marina!

I sort of thought I'd just do all my wolves again via amiibo, but that quickly become not how I wanted things. Zell, though a basic twin of Kyle, proved just how much I was missing out in with possible other villagers. So 3 permanent wolves at this point, Zell, Dom and Molly, and 4 rotating plots until more solidify their place on accident!
I'd like to always have one or temporary, just because it's fun to find new villagers on tours and scan in as needed.

I definitely want to keep Kidd, Diana, and Apollo
The rest I do like, but despite some of them being dreamies I'm still willing to part with them to experience new villagers!

Tenporary: Pierce, Celia, Leopold, Dobie, Sherb
The conflicted villagers I think will be permanent, but still not sure yet. Ursala is new and I love her to bits, and Mint is adorable and I love her house.

I'm currently amiibo cycling half my town but in the end I'm trying to get 1 of each personality, and for the last 2 slots i plan to cycle between Pekoe, Fauna, Marina for normals and leave the last slot open for whatever I feel like having another extra of (debating if I wanna keep Dom over Bam or Raymond over Marshal right now)
Right now, only Peewee is permanent but I am liking Reneigh. She's pretty cool.

Only 4 (Kiki, Ankha, Gladys, and Bob) are permanent for me right now. I don't hate any of my villagers, but if any of the other 6 ask to go, I will let them.
Tex and Butch are the ones that need to go. For one of them I have to make a sacrifice to either get Raymond, Julian or Marshal, for the other I just want Apollo. Both impossible tasks, but I don't like seeing their characteristics on these characters (Butch is fine but I need Apollo!).
I also want to replace Pashmina, but I had her in New Leaf as well and despite everything I still get attached to her for some reason. I don't really feel too deeply about any sisterly villager, but there's a handful I like better.
Sherb was my lazy move in who I eventually planned on replacing with my amiibo card of Stitches, but I just fell in love with him. So I'm keeping both of them for my lazy since I need two duplicates anyway. I'll only move him for a better camper if I ever feel like it.
I have two peppies in Rosie and Merry, and I love cats and I love them. I like a lot of peppies, but I love cats and I love that they're different.
Just realized I have one more duo of duplicates, which is Maple and Goldie as normal villagers. I only bought in Goldie through an amiibo card anyway and just got her to kick out someone I disliked. She's fine, but she's bland in my eyes. I understand why she's seen as the default villager in some games. But Maple is my absolute favorite at the moment. I just love her, she's so cute. She also got glasses because of her hobby.
Genji is the only good jock for me, so he has to stay forever. He's also one of my two starters, so it'll be nice to have that one villager who was there since the beginning. And I don't really need his interior anyway, I just hope one day villagers will accept and use wallpapers and such.
This leaves me with a need for a snooty villager and only one of them is a dreamie: Diana.
If I have those 10, I'm not sure who I'd replace. Any villager has like 1-2 replacements for me, but I don't really want to gamble for them.
It'll take a long time for me to get those 10 villagers completed anyway.

Most for sure. Some I wouldn't mind switching out in the future. I want to have all personalities but I've never been crazy about the uchi's so maybe once I get all the DIY's i'll switch Reneigh out.

Right now i only have 5 villagers but 3 of them are permanent residents for now. I normally go into these games without a specific set of villagers that I want, but since this is my 3rd and probably last island, I went ahead and made myself a dreamie list. Luckily some of my dreamies are easy enough to obtain. One of my dreamies also happened to be a starter jock villager so I get to keep one of my original villagers and make friends with animals I've never met before along the way. While I do have a dreamy list this time, many of my current dreamies are villagers I've never had before and I an excited to meet and share my island with. Anyways I've run my mouth enough about it but I currently have 3 out of 10 dreamies and only 5 villagers on my island so I'd say I'm doing well.
I'll cycle until I've had everyone in my town (to unlock posters) and only keep Raymond and Genji/Sterling. All other dreamies I can invite with cards whenever I'm done.

It took me actual weeks to find Tucker on the Nook Miles Islands so I still only have these 5 so far. I'm going to set up the campsite soon. Hoping for Klaus as my first camper since he's my planned Smug villager, but highly doubt I'd be lucky enough for that to happen.
Also plan to acquire Vic to be my Cranky and Pekoe to be an additional Normal alongside Annalisa. As for Snooty, currently debating whether to move Ankha out my main New Leaf town to move onto my island (I don't like having duplicates, so it's one or the other) or to get Monique.
My island is history themed, so either could work, though I really like the idea of Ankha being there. Only thing that makes me hesitant is that it sort of hurts to separate her and Lucky. We'll see what happens.
