How many NMT did it take you to find a dreamie?

Thought this would be a fun/interesting thread to start.

How many NMT has it taken you to find a dreamie for your Island? (If you were keeping count).

I recently just found Marshal, who has being a dreamie of mine for ages. I found him today and it took me a total of 65 tickets šŸ˜¤
Let me know how many tickets you had to burn through!

This is fun indeed.

So far, I counted 460 tickets. I have yet to get a dream villager. :mad:
 
out of all my dreamies that iā€™ve obtained so far, skye took the longest with 43 nmts; thatā€™s not too bad but it still was a bit frustrating aha. but still, thereā€™s no beating that joy when you come across a dream villager + skye is the loml so it was all worth it cā€™:

my runner-up is margie with 19 tickets; i definitely had better luck this day but the joy that i felt once i found her was exactly the same šŸ„°

Oof, Skye was another dreamie I was looking for when I was looking for Marshal today!

And you're right, that joy of finding the villager you want is the best joy šŸ„ŗ šŸ˜

I could have gotten the villager from someone else with my tickets. However, there are a lot of scammers out there especially if you're looking for a popular villager like Judy!
 
My longest streak took 30 tickets, to find a new snooty (I wanted Blaire, Blanche, Julia, Soleil or Robin, I'm not too picky when it comes to dreamies). I ended up with Soleil, which was only the second snooty I encountered. Oh, and a storage full of weeds, wood, rocks, and fruit because I can't leave an island without depleting it of resources first...
 
A while back, I found Merengue, Ankha, and Judy on my first ticket on separate occasions of Mystery Island hopping. Turns out I didn't like Merengue as much as I thought I might. I invited Ankha to eventually give her to my S/O, but he has since gotten her Amiibo and has already invited Ankha to his island that way. XD Judy will be a long-term, if not, permanent resident, since I like her and there is currently no easy way to invite her back on-demand. I didn't go on these hunts with the intent to find these specific villagers, though.

Yesterday, I found Phoebe on my 39th ticket, and I will be cycling her to my S/O (she is one of his dream villagers) after I have obtained her photo. Along the way, I ran into some villagers whom I would love to one day have on my island, so I'm glad I got to see them in-person to reinforce my interest in them. :>
 
I found Cole on ticket 11, and Tabby on ticket 8. Great luck in both cases but actually a bit earlier than I would have liked to end my searches.

i donā€™t remember how many tickets I spent finding Bangle (maybe 5-10?). She was my original peppy, so I didnā€™t have many. I didnā€™t know if I would like her at the time, but she ended up becoming a favorite! (Not sure if that one counts)

my longest adventure ever was 80 tickets, which was pretty exhausting. I found Graham in the end, which was great, because I love him and heā€™s my favorite smug, but there were quite a few villagers I could have been happy with before that (like Timbra, Bitty, Paula, Bree or Fuchsia - who I ended up inviting from my campsite two days later), I just was feeling too indecisive/ perfectionist, and it was just luck that it ended up working out in the end (cause I was totally out of tickets and had to borrow from friends)

Like other people have said, I donā€™t go out island hopping for one or two specific villagers. I also have realized I am not in a rush to fill my island up with permanent villagers, in fact I am happier not doing so yet, because I like getting to experience a variety of villagers and I love island hopping. Like @TheSillyPuppy said, seeing a villager while island hoping often piques my interest in that villager, or affirms my interest. At the same time, I am always hoping to come across an elusive favorite (from my constantly evolving potential favorites list)

very impressed by the people who can do hundreds of tickets for a search, I donā€™t think I could do it!
 
I never struggled with mine. I heard about lots of people spending hundreds of NMTs looking for their dreamies but I only used, on average, 5 tickets on each one. To be fair though, I have tons of dreamies so naturally I have a higher chance of getting them šŸ˜…
 
On my last villager hunt it took me 13 tickets to find Papi. I wasnā€™t looking for anyone in particular, but I needed a lazy villager to replace Nate.

one of my friends used over 700 tickets to look for her dreamie. She had to give up because she ran out of tickets, but then her dreamie showed up at the campsite!

Tank - 18. He was my starter but I wanted his original house

Cranston - Campsite

Pashmina - 74 tickets I was looking for Marshal but I found her instead.

Marshal - 30 villagers and 600 something tickets later I found. I wasn't willing to TT to keep an empty plot to keep looking so I just pick up someone I like the look of or a friend's dreamie. This took about 2 months and I was getting photos of all the villagers while I was doing this. I had a bunch of normals because I haven't decided who I wanted on my island forever and figured out which ones I didn't like or indifferent to.

While looking for Marshal and time traveling I was also looking for friends dreamies.

Ruby was a camper.
Buzz took 16 tickets.
Sherb took 93 tickets.
 
My longest one was about 80 tickets? I found Raymond that way and I thought it was pretty lucky o:

Bones was literally my first ticket!!
Flora I ended up taking after like my 10th ticket bc I didnā€™t want a random move in (during the early phase) and she looked cute and now I love her so much šŸ˜­
Genji was a camper randomly
& idk if this counts but I found Audie in like 3 tickets and traded with a friend for Judy haha

the rest I had amiibos for and slowly scanned them in over time
 
i found a dreamie once (Tammi) for only 8 tickets. :D
and one time i was looking for pietro and spent ab 17 tickets and ended up with coco... sad. i hate coco now lol
 
I think Iā€™ve spent 70/80 tickets in smaller forms and have yet to find anyone Iā€™d really want.

Iā€™ve found Audie on my second ticket but passed.
I found Marshal on my third ticket and passed.
Dom on I think my 25th and passed. (Regret)

Today Lucky came into my camp and I forgot to exit when he asked to take someoneā€™s place. To get him to choose someone I didnā€™t want so, couldnā€™t get him since I want to keep Erik.

I think the only Dreamie I have is stitches from a random encounter on an island after 4 tickets, but then I have his Amiibo.
