How many message bottles do you get a day?

There's a TikTok going around saying you get two a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. I've been playing since release and haven't seen more than one a day... am I missing something? Is this video a troll? Lol

It happened to my friend, I think if you miss a day you get it the next day. Only explanation that makes sense.

I get between 1 to 2 with each human used on a given day.

This is more common if I have a human play at different points in the day.

I only have one character and get one a day. For mystery islands, it's unlimited but you don't always get one on each island.

I've never gotten more than one message bottle on my island per profile per day and I've been playing every day since release for almost the entire day.

But yes if you're lucky you can get additional ones through the NMT islands but it that seems to be about 50/50 for me

In my experience so far, I only get one message in a bottle on my island's beach in the AM. I get none during the PM. I would collect sea shells during the PM time and never saw a message in a bottle--not even once. If I go on mystery island tours however, I sometimes find a message in a bottle on the beach too regardless of it being AM or PM as it appears randomly.

Same for me. I play both in AM and PM and have never seen more than one. I do see them on mystery islands sometimes.

I have no idea how are some people seeing two, assuming they didn't miss one a day before/have multiple users on their island... going to go up and down my beaches multiple times today and keep an eye out for a second bottle.

I always had one bottle until I created the second character. I have noticed that as long as she has played, there is a second bottle and the message is always different from the one my main character gets.

Unless I go to some mystery tours, where I will sometimes find additional ones. The most I've gotten in a single day was 6. I personally believe that each mystery tour has a 10 to 20% chance of having a message bottle.
