How many extra resources do you keep?

My storage is getting a little full and I'm looking at all the extra resources I have and wondering how many I really need. So... how many do you keep?

I have only 400, and I haven't even filled 300 spots. I have a ton of resources, clothing, and more.

I think if someone has more than 400 spots used in just resources alone, they should get rid of 50% of it as that's more than they need.

I have a couple hundred of everything. Except stones. Bunny Day is getting in the way of that.

i have about 10 stacks of 30 of all resources except for bamboo and young spring bamboo, but i would say that's pretty unnecessary. everytime i fill up a new stack it goes into my storage, but i don't carry any spare full stacks of anything in my pockets, only stacks that are partially filled.

I am a hoarder in this game, I keep one bunch of each wood/branches in my pockets and everything else goes in storage in groups of 30...I try to just keep 10 of each type buuuuuut I cannot bring myself to sell any of it lol

Can you store them outside, or fill a room with them? I had over a 100 tarantulas I stored in a couple rooms in my house. I once also collected over 40 dabs and lined the beach with them. (Note cages can stack on top of eachother)

I have 400. I think I'm up to about 350, and I just cleared stuff out after getting a "storage full" notice. I keep a lot of furniture for when my house/island will be ready for it. I probably shouldn't do that. And the clothes. Oh my gosh, it's kind of ridiculous. I need to get some of the outfits on to my wands.

Same! I try to watch the hot buy and make stuff when I think it's worth it, but I still have a ton.

That's good. The next house upgrade will move you to 800, and the one after that 1600. If you can afford it, I'd make that a priority rather than getting rid of things you don't want to.

Oh my gosh, it's kind of ridiculous. I need to get some of the outfits on to my wands.

All wands share the same 8 outfits.

I think I have between 5-8 stacks of each (common) resource stashed away, so all the woods, iron, stone and cherry blossom petals. I'm a hoarder too, so I'll just walk around and smack all my trees a bit, hit all my rocks as I walk around doing other stuff.

i keep at least 6 stacks (30 each) of everything in storage and one stack of each outside - wood, iron, bamboo, branches, etc!! it makes it super easy to craft things and for my friends to use things when they come over, and i end up naturally refilling the resources i use every time i go to a common nook miles island. you'll have more storage with upgrades, so you could always keep the overflow outside and then move it back into storage when your house goes up!

I like to hoard things, so I've got... at least 5 stacks of 30 of all the basic resources? Mostly from trying to get normal wood, still kinda low on that. Plus I'm drowning in branches

i store all the resources i get if i'm not immediately using them for crafting, so i have 6-7 stacks of most

I have no more than 1 bundle of each resource sitting outside next to my crafting bench that I'll pick up or replenish when I need to. If the stack exceeds the max I throw the rest of the resources in my storage. I have,,, an absurd amount of stuff building up just in case I decide to go on a crafting spree

And i have never had a space problem so far?

Most furniture items either used in my home (which if f***ing hate how small rooms are now), outside areas, villager yards, and have given some to friends.

Flick visited my island today...but due to patch 1.1.1.4, blossom are coming down hard and it replacing my rare bug spawn rate by a hefty amount so even though Flick is here, I could have made an additional 300K+ on top of the stuff I sold him. Wish he was here on Monday instead of CJ since that patch was not release yet. I would have work my butt off if my bugs were still there instead of taking a 5 hours afternoon nap.
