How many copies do you have?

Isn't it possible to just buy one digital copy then multiple SD cards, or is that not a thing?

I just bought a fourth cartridge. Plus I'm also running my hubby's two towns, so I'm technically up to six towns.

I've got one time by the time writing this. Soon enough, I will get my second copy though. My first copy is a digital, and my second will be a psyical.

Won't work, it's tied to the Nintendo Network ID that's tied to the system, and the system knows if you've tried to copy data to another card and use it, so for each digital copy, you need a Network ID.

I believe this adds up to 5 copies for myself. Two main towns, two sister towns, and a test town where I test different theories of the game.

I've got two physical copies. I use one of them for storing items.

I have 3!
My digital copy that first came with my bundle that has my main town Melody, cartridge that is lent to my sister with a shared town named Rowhedge, and another cartridge that's used for cycling and messing around named Milton.
Personally I like having so many towns but sometimes I wish I could focus on them equally.

Ah. Thank you for letting me know. Found out if you attempt to start a new town, your old one will get corrupted, so don't do that anyone that's reading. (Fortunately, I did not experience this first hand, but read about someone else's experiences on GameFAQs.)

I only have 1 on my 3ds. Trying to finish that/stopping villagers from moving already feels like a hassle so I might hold off on picking up another cartridge for a while unless I come across one for really cheap in which case id use it for storage/cycling
