It sounds good, but I generally haven't had this problem yet. My net and spade are almost always equipped so when I need on or the other I pretty much only have to tap once. However, I am yet to catch that massive tarantula! It's too quick and my net is too slow.

I keep all my tools, including wet suit, in my letter slots. I have 9 letters there (one spot open if I need to bury a time capsel for someone). When I leave the house, I always get my fishing rod and net out, and my shovel if I know I'll be looking for fossils. I use to have my sling shot out also, until I got all the balloon items, silver sling shot and now golden sling shot. The golden watering can, axe or wet suit I only get out if it is needed at that moment, otherwise they stay in my letters. But it would be cool if you could have all your tools with you and they didn't take up your 16 slots. In another thread, I've heard someone say that it would be cool if there was a toolbelt for all your tools. Wishful thinking.

That would sound pretty cool tbh, but to me, it would seem a lot like Minecraft.

It would sound cool actually, if you are catching a pill bu for example, and switching gear made faster. But it would seem like Minecraft imo.
