I was wondering, for those who plot reset for a villager to get into the right spot - how long is the longest time you've ever plot resetted for? Like how long did it take for the villager to finally get into the right spot for example.

I've plot resetted for Diana to move into the right spot (she's not in it yet :'D) for 8 and a half hours.. and I'm getting so sick of it and it sucks because I want to actually play the game but I can't lol xD Tell me your plot reset time stories :')

** I also can't stand the face of Rover now, I'm so fricking sick of his dumb face, bye

The longest I have ever reset for is about twenty minutes. Not because I am lucky, just lazy, lol.

8 hours is nothing.... sadly. at least for me lol.

I have the worst luck with plot resetting. Recently, Bunnie and Beau only took an hour or so because I have literally 12-14 fountains EVERYWHERE else.

but when i didnt have temp pwp's... 3-4 days. and thats about 12 hours a day. so ~40 hours for a couple of my other villagers. x__x

I would rather not waste time plot resetting. If there are flowers I don't want to lose, I pick them up the night before I expect a new plot. The house don't line up perfectly but none of the plots screwed with my landscaping much.

oh my god, i feel like it will take forever for me too right now. i also have a lot of random pwps scattered around everywhere so houses wont land there.

if you notice they are starting to prefer a spot (like it pops up multiple resets) TT backwards with your 3ds clock, and build a new house there. since it's too late to make new PWP's, thats usually what I do.

Unless you have 2 resident houses already... then good luck :c

Wait what?? She actually has like 3 spots she's always into. that happened when i plot resetted for julian too earlier this week, but after enough hours he finally went to the right place. but if i screw with the 3ds clock like what does it do? tt one day backwards? does she move in the following day then? so i need to plot reset like usual, set the time to 6 am and stuff?

ill explain with 100% detail so nothing messes up dont worry haha.
okay lets say you invited Diana to move in on March 4th. Any time of day, doesn't matter what time, just march 4th.
You can either TT backwards with your 3ds clock, by 1 day. (back to march 4th) so when you do load up your game, you won't see Diana yet. however, if you were to TT too much and go back 2 days (march 3rd), the game thinks you are moving forwards 1 day. Weird, idk why. but you will see Diana's plot. so it's so so important you only go backwards in that 1 day time period.

If your 3ds clock and acnl time are mixed up (like mine are atm), you can continue with mayor and TT with Isabelle. Just go back to the day you invited Diana.
you will not see her plot that entire day.

after you build the new resident house (if thats what youre looking to do)....

if you tt'd with 3ds clock: go back to 3ds settings. tt to the current time. plot reset.

if you tt'd with isabelle: login as mayor to 5:58 am the next day (if you invited her march 4th, it would be 5:58 am march 5th). save and quit. plot reset as normal.

Usually it doesn't take me long to plot reset, but Drift took me like 2 hours to plot. I know that isn't long compared to some, but I've never had to plot reset for more than an hour. I feel sorry for those who have it worse than me.

hehe yea, its kinda my own fault too because i'm such a symmetry freak x_x

I know it's not as long as people have reset on here for, but 1 hour.

I try to keep my game "original" as in no plot/villager resetting and other whatnot. I did it a long time ago with Ankha, but because I'm so lax it took around 30 minutes

Oh I haven't plotted villager houses before, I attempted and because it was my first and didn't really read up on what to do, I saved and then realized I permanently plotted the villagers house and all my attempts were a waste xc

Probably an hour. I don't have the patience. I just make sure the villagers aren't destroying anything.

In two of my towns I have all my villagers on one side of the river. Other than that I don't have specific spots for them.

For Poppy to plot in her place, 1 whole week. There was a great feeling of accomplishment when I decided not to give up 3 hours in.

haha xD i dont want them to be scattered everywhere, i've made a nice spot for her next to another villagers house
btw im STILL plot resetting, its been 12 and a half hours now *sob*

Like Alexi, I have spent far too many hours plot resetting one villager. I know if I don't and they're not perfect it'll bug me so much I'll get rid of them and then sometimes have to cycle 16 for them.

Have you checked this out to make sure she can go where you want her to?

I wish I had found the link sooner because it explains why after a week of plotting a couple times the villagers still didn't cooperate.

Hopefully Diana is just being stubborn and will knock it off soon.

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THAT THREAD FOREVER OMG.
thank you. ;_; bookmarked.

Anyways, definitely do check out that thread and make sure diana is able to plot where youd like her. I'd also recommend designing your town in excel so you can be precise with where each acre is.
I realllly wanted my villagers to be aligned horizontally next to wolfgang. i realized that it just wasn't gonna happen after i put my map into excel (you could also count the acres in game) because the houses would eventually need to be plotted in the same acre as train station, which is impossible.

Two hours. It was Muffy, and I ended up moving a path for her, but I'm happy with where her house is now so it worked out. I just don't have the patience to spend a long time plot resetting. A couple of hours is absolutely my limit! By that point I wanted to throw my 3ds out the window.
