:gyroidhappy: Hi people. Just so you know ive been playing since 2004

HOW LONG HAVE YOU PLAYED?? :gyroidsheriff: :gyroid360:

I have played ACWW since the day it came out.

The original I was curious about and decided to seek it out.

The original never really got me hooked, and played it for like a year.

I got it for Christmas the year it came out. I think it was 2002. But I was little back then, so when it asked me where I wanted to go, I didn't know it wanted me to name my town. So I took it literally by mistake. I tried to write disney world, but it wouldn't fit. So I tried to come up with a place I wanted to go that was under 8 letters, and the best I could come up with is "woods". And when I got off the train, I actually thought that it worked because the town does look like it's in the woods. Later, I wished that I would of called my town "city" because I thought that it would be a city instead of a forest. That's kind of funny, huh? So when I saw City Folk, I had a bit of Deja Vu. So to this day, the name of my town in the GameCube version is "woods".

But in Wild World, they made it more clear that they wanted me to name my town, so I named it "ToadTown", after the capital of the Mushroom Kingdom in the Mario games.

With City Folk, I'm thinking of naming my town "Nintown". Does anybody have any better ideas?

EDIT: On a side note, I wanted to name the island in the GC version "Leaf Beach Island", but that didn't fit. So I tried to abbreviate it, resulting in it being named "lf bch il" or something like that.
Also, one time my little brother set the clock in the game forward to 2099 because he thought that everything in the game would be futuristic like in The Jetsons. He was wrong. The only thing that happened was that every square inch of the town was filled up with weeds and my favorite animal in the town had moved away. I made him pick all of the weeds. But then I found out that he just had Wisp do it.

Since May! Six months. And that's Wild World, for the record. I've been playing the GC version for only a few weeks. I decided that in order to appreciate the game better, I should get the original. It was $20 used at GameStop - worth it, even though I can't get to the island because I don't have a GBA. :(

like 2 years after the GC version came out my neighbor got it... we played, and she got bored w/ it so now its in my possession. I got WW a few months after release, because i didn't own a ds. Now hopefully ill have city folk on the release date.

You could call your town "Clock Town", after the main 'hub' in Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, because of the big clock on the town hall roof. Or maybe something city-like, like "Metropolis", or maybe even name your town after our good forum, The Bell Tree.

I hope these are some good ideas! :llama:

Since 2004. When the GC Animal Crossing was released, I didn't really like it. When I tried it though, I thought it was awesome. Then Wild World came out and that was awesome too. Now I can't wait for Let's Go to the City to come out, and I can no longer remember why I didn't like it in the first place. :yay:

I've been playing since 2003. i didn't know as much about video games, wasn't as into them, and i had just gotten gamecube for christmas. i had gotten 3 games that day, and i picked up animal crossing because it had a pretty cover. when i got home, i played that first, and couldn't put it down for a few hours. i had never played any games like that before, and i looooved simulation from then on :)

I got AC and my GCN from my parents in February of 03 I think...not totally sure. It was my first video game ever.

I've been a friend of the series since December 2004 when i bought my Gamecube version and i still play it.

I remember when I first played it was at a friends. He told me it came out a year ago (at that time). So 've been playing since a year after AC:GC release.

I have been having a long think about this and it seems to be about two years. I found it by accident and have not looked back since. The UK & Ireland didn't get a proper release of it on the Cube so it went through europe fairly un-noticed. The DS on the other hand has done real well with it still selling strong to this day so Im sure it will do very well on the Wii

I've been playing AC since the summer of 2005. I bought it when I reread an old issue of Nintendo Power. It sounded like an interesting game so I decided to buy it. I was obsessed with it for like 5 months straight. I got AC:WW along with a DS lite in the fall of 2006 for my birthday. I didn't like AC:WW as much as the GCN one so I went back to that after about 2 months of playing WW.
