How long does it take for a villager to move in...

... After you've claimed them from somebody else's town? Does their plot appear the next day? I'm asking because I want to do the plot reset trick since there's a specific spot I want this villager to move into.

Campers usually take two days, but a villager adopted from another town will set down a plot the next day. Good luck with your plot resetting!

for me it's usually two days, i'm not sure how you got the villager matters. i think it is just random how many days it takes.
