I let them get mushy. The other day at the Mall of America they were handing out free oreos and milk. They painted the elevator shaft to look like a 50 ft tall milk glass and they put a giant oreo on the elevator. It was a giant oreo dunking machine! :O

Loads of milk
10 scoops of vanilla ice cream
Whipped cream
Half and Half
...and some ice cubes

I don't like regular oreos that much, but when I eat them I don't usually dip them in milk.

The white fudge oreos are the best, IMO.
